Anyway if you do it from when the speedo moves from 0, when the rpm is at 2400, and cut the video when it is at the frame where the needle hits 60, you get 4.2 seconds! You get 100mph at 9.4 seconds.

If you do it from the start of the heavy rpm increase (i.e. from 1400rpm) you get a 0-60 of 5 seconds and 100mph at 10 seconds.

Sorry for being overly geeky

I believe you should start timing when the needle starts moving, because shiv had to bring his rpm up to launch the car. So the rpm can move up but until he drop the the clutch and the car begans to go into motion, the timing shouldn't begin.

Dyno days really aren't considered group guys. They are just groups of people who aren't able to drive out to us. Instead, they pitch in to get me out to them. It usually works out to be a little bit more expensive than coming out to see to us due to 3rd party dyno rental. Not to mention airline tickets and lodging. In this case, total costs involved for participants is $1300 (xede) plus $60-100 (est per car dyno rental) plus $50-70 (partial plan ticket for me!). Usually, we charge an additional $350-375 for the actual tuning. But in this case of early adopters, we're waiving that.

Then it definitely comes out as 4.2 seconds 0-60

Good results Shiv

I'm curious what is the drivetrain loss (%) difference between the steptronic and manual since I'm thinking to get an automatic so then my wife can drive when I need to take her X5. What I'm also happy to see that the weight difference between 6AT/6MT is not much along with gear ratios vs. other makes/models where automatics typically weigh over 60lbs more and gear ratio are far apart.

Is this possible?

What about exhaust? I know its not ready yet... but should we wait until it is so we can have the car tuned with the exhaust?

whats even more amazing is that that was with the DTC on. with some fatter/stickier tires and better road conditions this car will fly.

The exhaust wont be ready for a while. We're going to do a proper production run which will probably take 2-3 months. In the meantime, we're going to look at other parts of the system (intake, downpipes, intercooler, etc,.) For the time being, I'd like to keep things simple and manageable and just off the Xede. On 93oct, it'll do very well just by itself.

I dont know how much information you can give out... But is there anything super special about the vishnu exhaust? I would love to buy it... but if its going to be a while would it be possible to have the XEDE with say another companies exhaust while still getting the same kinda power? I would rather stay all Vishnu but I have very bad patience .

I would assume if you have shiv tune the XEDE to your exhaust it would be fine, just have to catch him on one of the dyno days or see him in Danville.

I, for one, would like to buy the final Xede mapped for the stock exhaust system. I really like the car's sound as it is.

My Ducati is loud enough

This is what Shiv is coming out with first -- the Xede-only kit (mapped for the stock exhaust) to add approx. 30+HQ/30+TQ.

Let me get this straight shiv - it is not required to have you specially tune the car right? One could just buy the xede say off your website or by phone and will be able to just plug and play correct?

Jerry this is correct. It looks like there is going to be a nice ammount of people in houston though... so a dyno day is definately a possibility. I for one though would like to wait until exhaust is available to have a custom tune (get the most bang for the buck).
