Try being #14 on the list! It doesn't really matter though as 10-14 will likely go out at the same time

As for drive train loss...single axle is typically 15% on a MT and a little higher for an AT. Obviously every car is different but thats about the accepted "norm". Now we have mentioned AT loses a little more power and when you add in a second axle to power (AWD) you lose a fair deal more. I would guess that had he been an MT / RWD you would see 25-30whp more which is a decent amount. On the dyno he made 430awhp I put down 26x-27x whp fully bolted (stock exhaust though). An N54 will typically gain 125-140whp depending how hard they push it with full bolt ons and meth and race gas (sometimes 150whp). So when you see people claim they made 440whp on a dyno jet it means their baseline was probably just shy or even over 300whp. My baseline was 30whp lower than that which explains why i was around 399whp on pump and meth at 16.5 - 17psi. Your car is just as fast as everyone elses with the same tune and same mods (albeit different brands). Its a drivers race at that point. Hope this doesnt sound harsh or anything...just mentioning things that are definitive so there is no misconceptions |

Trev - launching on DR's is a world of a different story than streets. If you wanna meet up and practice on a decent "drag like" surface let me know. Been in the game a while and have "some" practice with different tires. My last time out I was putting 1.90-1.97 60fts on my 19" all seasons lol. Get your 60ft in the 1.65 range and you'd see a good amount come off your ET.
Most action this threads had in a while lol. |

Guh - im already looking for what car im going to buy next. I have 63k miles and dont feel like modding a car with that many miles. Also the fact that companies rape people (even cost to distributors is high) just because its a bmw. If I am going to make another car I own fast again it sure as shit wont be a car with DI lol. If I am going to spend upwards of 10k in parts and be limited to under 550whp I just wont do it lol. Give me good ole port injection where i can drop some ID2000 and a standalone and be done.

tmdb335,
Im glad to hear your car is finally running great! AWD turbos are still unproven and probably wont get much help from the owner as well. Last thing I need to do before put them on my bicycle, I want to try Vishnus new meth kit and their fuel pump. Hit the dyno, will see what happens. Oh and difference between I & XI should be more than everyone thinks on the dyno! Like someone mentioned, should be good 30-40rwhp difference. |

Creaminz - if they aren't on your car - I wouldn't put them on. Even Robert@Vishnu joked about them with me on the phone once lol...your car is far to baller. get a set of rb's and do it big!!! Its not that the AWD turbos are bad they just aren't good...they add a little efficiency up top and allow you to make a little more power to redline...upgraded turbos should flow more throughout the rpm band. A billet compressor wheel and clipped turbine at best dont seem to be doing enough in this housing. PM me for more details off the forums as I am fairly sure I know who built these and I helped test them a year ago with a different BIG name company when I was assisting with their tuning.
