I thought about buying a new wheel but didn't want to deal with the hassle of taking the old one off, putting a new one on, possibly needing to code paddles, etc. Good deal for you though.

Changed the charge pipe with a Cobb charge pipe after the stock one let go over the weekend. Thanks to Harrison Motorsports in Alpharetta for having one in stock. The car is 100% stock so I was surprised it blew apart at the clip with only 50K miles

I can install a new wheel in about 15 minutes and It does not need coding at all.

Installed the mhd burble tune and the cold start noise reduction to please the neighbors at 6am when I leave for work. Also tried to track down a shadow code for the hpfp. Long cranks since I bought the car 15 months ago but the code hasn't come back. We will see...

installed 2 sets of POLK 4" coaxial speakers in the doors. Much improved sound compared to stock. As for mounting the new speakers, I literally "destroyed" the factory speakers. Cut out the plastic basket with pliers and trimmed the inner side to accommodate the POLKs. Sorry, no pics of install.

It’s more what it did to me. I was going to Atlanta and it overheated as I got on the interstate. The belt looks fine so I’ll let it cool down, get it back to the house (15 minutes) and investigate. First time for everything.
Update: After getting it back to the house I used Carly and it appeared that the water pump died. Last edited by tcphoto; 09-08-2018 at 08:09 PM.. |

I dropped it off at the Independent for a new water pump and thermostat. I really didn't want to order parts and tear it apart since I have a meeting up in Athens later in the week.
