I might get you Carfax for cheap if you are interested.
Always worth it to double-check vehicle. Friend of my once bought a car with 120k miles without checking report. Report showed 180k miles :/

Yea, I remember reading your posts of e91s being picked up right before you.
If you’re not willing to take the risk, you’ll soon find out and be disappointed that someone else is.

For most of them at least. Some “clean” e91s have been posted here, members have gone to check them out and they’ve been a mess.

Sight unseen sales are a risk.
If planning to view it in person, I’d leave a PayPal deposit to hold the car until I was able to see it.

My car, (apologies to those who've heard this story before...) was posted on this thread (page 204, post #4473) as a feeler on Nov. 25 at 12:26 p.m. I sent a private message 6 minutes later, at 12:32 p.m., and was SECOND in line! Luckily, miraculously, I live about 45 minutes away from the seller and was ready to purchase immediately, so I got it!

(I was also lucky that the seller, Brett Wriggly/BlaksabthE70, is an enthusiast, is a regular on this site, and the car was 9.75/10. It needed a cup holder and some scheduled maintenance, but was a California, Bay area car before coming to Georgia and living in a garage when not being driven by a retired school teacher. It was pretty much immaculate, which worked out for me committing to it site unseen.)

I also recently secured a car where I inquired within an hour of posting. It worked out in my favor but the seller mentioned over a dozen other interested parties within the first twenty four hours.

After lucking out over the years on two e91 6MT m sports and currently a F31 in estoril blue, I can attest you need to stalk the sites religiously and cannot even wait for the daily alerts to hit - as those are generally delayed. Every one of the aforementioned vehicles had a waitlist 20-30 deep behind me from what I was told by the sellers - just the luck of the draw that I jumped on each and slapped a deposit down.

Also - dont rely on gentlemen's agreements in this day and age...unfortunate, but it will just leave you disappointed. I've lost out on two e91 m-sports (both coincidentally lemans examples...hmmmm) where the seller outright told me we had an agreement for sale and then backed out. In the latest instance, the guy even drafted a BOS with all his license info, said he didn't need venmo/paypal hold funds, and then texted that night to tell me he got a higher offer and was going to back out.

Wow, that sucks but I guess worked out in the end. You have to be pushy with these things. That's how I was (even when I felt I was too pushy) and it worked out. Fortunately, for me I took a BIG risk but ended up being worth it. It was one of those situations where the owners didn't know what they had. Wife's daily driver and had no more room for it in the garage. 90xxx miles. 1 owner. Long list of maintenance from BMW dealer. I found it on Boston Craigslist instantly contacted the seller and he probably thought I was a scammer. Didn't even want to sell it to me cause I wasn't local I begged to send he/his wife a deposit via wire transfer (risky) but they didn't want to accept. He told me there was one person local to him that was interested but said person wasn't able to see it till the weekend. Well, I somehow convinced him to remove his listing, overnighted a check, cleared, and rearranged shipping. The deal was done.

I was on my toes the whole time until shipping was confirmed and I received photos of it on the trailer, lol.

Long story short. If you see something you like, jump on it. Oh, and here we are 4 1/2 months & 12,000 miles later...
