Wow is $900 typical for hockey/ice skates? I've been on an ice rink a couple of times but I've always just rented a pair of skates. I suppose it makes sense that ice skates would, on average, cost more than regular shoes but damn $900 sounds pretty steep.

http://www.hockeymonkey.com/iceskates-bauer-sr.html These all look the same (or at least very similar) and yet the prices vary wildly. Crazy. |

I know the feeling way too well, but the alternative being tying shitty laces is even worse! For some reason hockey skates do have better sets still than figure skates have. Still, the pain is real.

I would like to pour myself a glass of scotch, but I have 5 different scotches on the go currently and cannot decide which one to have. They are all good.

I've had an 'unlimited' data plan with AT&T for about 6 or 7 years now. They used to offer unlimited data plans to new customers prior to 2010 or 2011, I believe, but they've since phased them out. However, anyone on an unlimited data plan was allowed to keep their plan if they wished even after AT&T stopped offering them to new customers.
I like to stream Spotify on my iphone while I'm in the car, though this is a pretty recent phenomenon. Recently, I went over a 3 GB "soft" cap last month and I was informed that if I went over 3 GB again in any given month my speed will be throttled (for the remainder of that month). Apparently T Mobile offers truly unlimited data plans with no throttling. Anyone have any experience with T Mobile? The frustrating thing about this situation is that I've hardly been a "heavy user" for most of my time with AT&T, despite paying for an unlimited plan all these years. As a family of four we pay $257/month. Only my data plan is unlimited, and the other three members of my family hardly use any data at all (I don't know the details of their data plans). I wonder if some sort of family share data plan is a cheaper option. But yeah, unlimited data plans not truly being unlimited - these are first world problems indeed. |

I got sick of nightly outages from our crap cable company (Mediacom), so I bought a Verizon home router and tried to switch to their 4G service. It was remarkably fast and stable, but I soon learned that we need at least 20GB bandwidth per month and sometimes closer to 30GB. That got to be over $200 just for internet access. Then when they hit me with the "this month and the month in advance" bill of over $400, I relented and went back to cable. Now I'm paying $60/month for 3TB total bandwidth (which I'll never come close to using), but we're back to nightly interruptions.

T-Mobile still throttles data plans. The ones that have "truly" unlimited plans is through Sprint, but I hear they have bad service. Try being with Verizon. Although I've never had a problem with a dropped call and the times of not being able to dial out are very few and far in between, once you use up your data that's it. No throttling. I'm too cheap to get more than 2GB, but then again I rarely use more than 1.8GB.

I'm currently a paid intern and I don't do anything. I literally dont do anything and get paid. I am so bored. There is AC though.

Ohhh yes. In Taiwan that means A LOT... Not even their damn schools (well at least in 93-97) had AC and their humidity is off the charts!

I went to the storage room and it was an oven in there... the two poor guys there had only fans to keep cool.
