i dont. I was just checking if the safety feature is in place. I always wait until temps are atleast 230-240 or so.

Maybe he meant to ask if it has something in place to stop boost from building until oil temps are at a certain point. AFAIK there isn't, you just have to make a conscience effort to not drive hard until the engine is warm.

I've found my temps rise much quicker than when I was stock. So it should help if you are running a tune.

If you wanted to you could use ATR to limit targeted load until the engine comes up to temp.

Lol this might be a dumb question but I'm not sure which stage to run. 2 or 2+?

I upload a stage 2+ and boost ramped up to 19.5 psi on stock turbos, no meth, no eXX gas either. Isn't that a bit too much? Don't want to blow them.

So long as it's tapering at higher rpms, you're OK with that in the midrange. 19.5psi sounds about right for Stg2+ aggressive, my last log showed 18.7 peak and that was in fairly cold weather, so it didn't have to larget as aggressively.

I've never seen boost higher than 18.5 psi on S2+ Aggressive. Are you S2+ guys running E30 maps? I think 18.5 psi is the boost cap enforced by Cobb on S2+ maps.

Was not a race map for sure

It could be a spike during a throttle closure or it could be they are really close to sea level. The DME will allow more boost the lower your DA(it's a 1.28bar pressure cap, not a ~18.5psi cap.)

My turn for a log review! 1st attempt at doing a proper WOT log from sitting around 2500rpm in 3rd, logging, and redlining through 4th.

I'm also providing the 2 .csv files for further diagnosis. The only picture is for the 1st pull not the 2nd.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/45967619/da...3-4_Second.csv

Let me know what you guys see. Running 93octane on an 09' e90 w/ Stg1 aggressive ST/LT (have flipped between both). Currently set to LT during logs.

I am not seeing the proper log, at least the picture. I haven't seen the attachments yet. Based upon your pedal pos. Are you AT?

I see you have some minor corrections on cylinder 1 and 4, I think that's normal but let the experts answer. I have another question your log shows negative PSI when you not pressing on the gas my logs weirdly show -0.06 at max where they should be like yours. Anyone knows why I do not see negative PSI, like -11.0, is it because of diverter valves, or a glitch?

My last log with stage-1+FMC Sport with Stock Throttle

Oh ya I'm running the latest firmware and 4.02 map ^^^^^^^^

I’m seeing the log starting at nearly 4K rpms, which is higher than you’d like, so I’m only commenting on the 4K-redline part of the pull….But what data there is looks fine. You have some minor corrections going on but I wouldn’t consider them to be particularly significant, and timing builds nicely to the gear shift. AFRs look good, your boost is hitting targets, so that’s all solid. Try to capture a better log next time, and don’t worry about logging a bunch of shifts, a good 3rd gear pull is what you want. Also, check out how hard your OE intercooler is failing at restraining charge temps, starting charge temps of nearly 100 deg climbing to 140 after a bit of aggressive driving. It would be extremely wise to get an intercooler as your next mod, the stock intercooler will get abused in FL summers I’d imagine. And you can go to the 1+ maps, which are pretty sweet.

Crap - do I have a boost leak? It's been like this since stock no mods except cobb. These logs are from Stage 1 + FMIC Sport Stock Throttle MAP 4.02.

Here is screen shot of no throttle, shouldn't boost be like -12.0?

if you had a boost leak, more than likely your would throw a code P30FF.

i always have -x.xx boost before going WOT, its pretty normal when APP is at 0 and cruising low RPMs.
