Yeah, man. That's what I told my friends. In a few years, the EPA is going to make the automakers tone things down really bad. You compared a family sedan now, like Lawrence said, a Camry with 270HP...270 is around the same power range in the Lambo that Rocky drove in Rocky IV back in 1984! Cars are getting faster and faster, yet the speed limits stay the same. To be honest, I don't think most people out there can even comfortably handle 200 HP. And by handle I don't mean just floor it like so many of the youngins on this board.

I'm really having a hard time deciding what car is going to take over the 335i's place. I'm going to stay in the ~$40k range...and want manual. I would honestly consider an IS350 if stick was an option. I thought about getting the new TSX to really save money, but I had a 328i as a loaner and that thing was dirt slow, I don't think I can handle it. G37 coupe is also another option, but that thing sucks on gas and looks just OK to me, not as wowing as the G35 was when I first saw them.

I was thinking about this the other day, My car can accelerate 2-3x faster then avg cars handles 2-3x better and break 2x better, I should legally be allowed to drive 2x as fast. Not to mention if something did happen my car is safer then avg too

On a side note, i would give my car up in a heartbeat for a MKIV Supra. Auto, manual, 2JZ-GTE or 2JZ-GE, i really could care less. I've always loved the looks and wanted one ever since i was little. All this was pre fast and furious days since now every kid wants one to be Paul Walker.

hahah after hearing your story Steve, i feel bad. You were sooo close to getting it!

And just think about it, if you kept it in your garage and kept the miles low, that car would be worth quite a bit now a days.

a MKIV supra with 600 miles went for $70,000+ on ebay. I forgot what the final price it sold for was. The guy was in the army so the car was garaged quite a bit and was driven rarely.

I think you can sell a Supra in a good condition and have enough money to buy a new 335i with no problems, lol.

It's one of the few cars that can really stand the test of time IMO.
