Would you guys please look and try to explain this log to me?
This is my very first log after going to MHD stage 1 on 91oct. Good? bad?
Any feedback is appreciated.

As mentioned, we're gonna need a more consistent log dude. Some of those funky AFRs could be attributed to you jumping back and forth between gears at full throttle, but who knows.

Aside from that, you may have a leaky injector(s) in Bank 1.

What exactly "feels off" about it? From what I can tell, aside from some timing corrections (which should clear up with a bit more octane) everything mechanically appears to be in order.

Do you have access to E85?

yeah... I have an e85 station like 5 min from me. I guess what feels off is that at a standing start it seems to bog down at like 6000 rpms at the top of 1st gear... it doesn't do it really from a rolling start... could have something to do with loss of traction? DCT is off. Maybe it's my imagination.

That's likely a result of "puke & die" effect given how small the stock turbos.

As for the timing corrections, add a gallon or two of E85 and see if they disappear...then move on to "E" maps; that'll really wake the car up.

Logs from a stock 335xi, Please review and help a noob out.

Hi all, I'm new to MHD and N54's but I'm really liking it so far I just ran a few 3rd gear pulls and would appreciate some more experienced people to comment on them. Car is a completely stock 07 335xi running the MHD stage1 ACN91 tune. First log is going up a medium grade hill, second is on level ground and started about 3min later.

http://datazap.me/u/philtr/all-stock...og=0&data=3-21

http://datazap.me/u/philtr/stock-sta...og=0&data=3-21

My observations/questions:

- Wow, the stock FMIC sucks! at only ~40F ambient, IAT's reach almost 100F only from a 3rd gear pull.

- Since I live in AZ I'm conservatively using the ACN91 octane tune. I don't see much timing being pulled. Should I try the regular 91 octane tune?

- Is it normal to not hit peak boost until almost 4k rpm? Car feels a little sluggish to me at low rpm and boost seems to build slower than I would've guessed for a small twin turbo setup. Definitely less low end than my old 2jz-gte with sequential twins.

Thanks for any help!

You are having timing correction with our crappy fuel. Your fuel pressures look great, wondering why you have quite a bit of fuel being pulled in the higher RPM's (STFT). Try adding 1-2 gallons of E54 (AZ Crap) and see if the corrections clear up.

Your observation is correct. It is taking time to spool, usually we see full boost target within 500rpm. My old turbos acted similar to yours, so im guessing you have orig turbos on a 2007? If thats the case wastegates are worn and spool will be slow.

Thanks for looking. Yeah, I was also wondering why the STFT show pulling a decent amount of fuel. Could that be pointing to any kind of issue?

Unfortunately I don't think any stations local to me sell e85 or e54 so I'm just running on the crappy ACN91.

Thanks, that's good to know even if it is a bit of a bummer. Yes, original turbos AFAIK and 87k miles. The odd thing is that I'm not noticing wastegate rattle when driving. Anything else worth checking with the slow boosting or easy ways to improve the wastegates like adjusting the actuator rod?

There are videos showing how to check for wg slop. I have adjusted the rear wgs (on my old ones), front is pretty inaccessible. As for the stfts perhaps a simple fuel air adap reset can fix.

Looks OK. Maybe a leaky injector in bank 1.
