If maps are PREMIUM, then this is the right thread. Otherwise, you'll need to search other threads for your map type. Last edited by bcoz; 03-11-2021 at 10:12 PM.. |

Hi everyone, sorry in advance for turning the guitar back ... but I have a problem with my e91 from cic 2009, with premium europe 2009-1 maps.
I generated a 1B file, all with no problem I proceeded to generate the key for premium maps west 2021-1 generated the code: DF7CGYPFUXEEQABIABIA Unfortunately, this code does not work, I tried to put the car to sleep also nothing, then I tried to generate a code for the premium map 2019-1: JQHJ4P25MLEKCABIAA4A Also does not work with this map ... lifetime codes: J6KTDI5BE2DWCABIAD7Q I tried to put the car to sleep, I have no ideas or does anyone have a solution? I put a great beer .... link to file 1b:https://mega.nz/file/LMwyAaKA#zacGpW...y1Z310rTeS9tGo |

Did your 1b.hex file contain a generic/incorrect VIN of 1234567 (characters 27 to 33)? If so, refer to my comment (in another thread) for an alternative option: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...&postcount=283 |

Once you fix the 1b file as Bcoz mentions, you can add the map and year codes to the configuration files to generate a newer map code... See the other thread. |

Thank you very much for your help, I coped with a trusted friend bcoz - Thank you very much!
For posterity, I will give tips on which I spent a while that were not necessary: -My Cic connected using the Fierfox Browser without the need to set up getway, ip etc, everything went from the machine, I entered the ftp connection with ip in the browser and it connected, no password or login was required. -My file that I downloaded in the first "searches" had vin "1234567" encoded, only somewhere at the end of the line there was a suitable VIN (important to check your vin) probably enough, thank you all for your help, I wish you a nice weekend! |

Hello everyone, first post for me. I have a 2009 e92 M3 with BMW v 1.4.6 Road Map North America PREMIUM 2009-2. I have successfully downloaded the latest 2021 map files and have an FSC code for my vehicle VIN. I have copied the pkgdb and config.nfm files to the root of a 32GB flash drive formatted FAT32. When I turn on the ignition in the car and insert the USB stick into the glovebox USB slot after the Navigation systems boots nothing happens for me. I have tries multiple USB sticks and verified that I can back up mp3 files via the USB port so I know the port in the glove box is functioning. I have also tried downloading 2018 map files but still had no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are a few possibilities...
Your CIC firmware is too old to do the update via the USB port... You did not copy the files over correctly. The USB drive has a partition table that is not recognized by the car. The car's USB interface is not working properly. You have the wrong maps for your CIC. If the USB drive were to have been recognized correctly by the firmware you would have at the least seen the message offering to perform the update. |

Hi guys, hoping someone has some answers here :-)
I have just swapped out CIC Business to CIC Professional and Navigation is greyed out. So I followed the steps at the beginning of this post, managed to get the 1b.hex file and used the fsc generator to grab the activation codes. I have downloaded the map files (EUROPE WEST PREMIUM 2021-1) and put them onto a 32GB FAT32 usb drive and inserted into glovebox USB port and the it shows the update available and activation screens. However both (non and lifetime) codes are not valid and it will not update. First thing i have noticed is the generator offered ROAD MAP EUROPEAN WEST PREMIUM (USB) 2021-1 - a slightly different name to the map files I have downloaded. Should the names match? If they should match, it may explain what the codes are not working. Secondly thing I have now noticed the 1b.hex file is not 319mb, instead its 1Kb. And I also noticed there is an fsc.bat file that came down from the the new CIC. Have I done or not done something prior to attempting this nav update? Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance. Edit: the 1b hex file is indeed 319bytes. And after reading the file with winhex, it seems it might contain the original VIN rather than my VIN ?!?? The FSC of your new CIC does not match your car.
The CIC should have been virginized first, and new enabling FSC's added to turn on navigation that match your vehicle. That would permit existing tools such as the generator, to work properly. That said there are other hack tools available to generate new enabling FSC's for your car. Check out the other threads here about FSC's for retrofits and emulator equipped CIC's. |

Ok cool so as I understand it, I need to find a way of coding it to my car for the nav to be activated and work in the first instance. Then I can update it, right? |

Hey Guys,
I've read through the thread and don't think I've seen the questions asked yet but I am using an NTFS formatted USB drive and with the map *.rar files direct in the root and I can't seem to extract the 1b.hex? My Nav is NBT. Kidding.... Real question though, I have just bought (yet to physically receive) a 2011 e90 (VIN WBAPM560X0NN35473). It's a Japanese car that has been imported to NZ, can I use this process to load Aus/NZ maps and will it work or is there something else I need to so to change region or something??? Cheers, Karl |

Even though it relates to UK, it may also be relevant to NZ. |

Cheers,
I'm getting stuck downloading the maps, I fall over at 26.4%, guessing that there aren't any seeders for the file??? Is there anywhere else I can get it? Or maybe a different Torrent? |
