You have to hold in the START button for 3-4 seconds if you want to shut off the engine while the car is moving. Just remember that the power steering also loses pressure after some time and you will have difficulty steering.....
Assume general disclaimer to these emails. At own risk!

ok.....I can see the natural conclusion to the direction of this thread, so I'll skip to the last chapter of the book....
If you drive your 3 series into a brick wall at 120mph, the airbags go off, but you still die. |

sorry to bring up an old thread but did anyone notice that when you listen to music when the car is powered on but not started its much louder than if its turned on completely and your driving? i was just wondering why it was like that and maybe its something to do with not using too much of the battery... anyone know for sure?

it reallys sounds like the car gives less output to the speakers when the engine is on compared to off.. the bass is so much more noticeable when the car is not started up. anyone confirm this?

Another Cool find for Microsoft Freaks! & Lovers:
All iDrive System are based on Microsoft Windows CE version 3.5, it was a shock when I new this, yet this is another milestone for Microsoft. This announcement comes shortly after Microsofts Automotive Business Unit launched Windows CE for Automotive v3.5, the newest version of its telematics software platform based on Windows CE, and announced an end-to-end solution to enable the auto industry to cost-effectively implement and maintain advanced automotive telematics. Regards;
