Nice. Are you going back to the M6 reps in the meantime?

JOe - what's the best way to get caked in bird shit out of the paint with a porter cable polisher? I tried using the orange pad with Menzerna intensive polish and still could not get the shit out!

Has it stained/etched into the paint? IP/orange is a pretty aggressive combination, but bird shit is very acidic and ultimately detrimental to paint - especially black. How many passes did you make with the PC?

You might want to try a 2:1 dilution of distilled water/isopropyl alcohol or an equal dilution of distilled water/isopropyl/white vinegar. Beyond that, you're looking at stepping up to a yellow/wool pad or wetsanding - both of which can do more harm that good if not done correctly, so be careful!

Surprised that combo didn't work for you Tim. Are you using moderate pressure with the PC? Try pushing down on the head of the PC while still allowing the pad to rotate slowly, all the while keeping equal pressure across the pad. This is key. If that doesn't work, mist the pad a bit with water then try it again. Joe's suggestions are spot-on as well.

Tim, if we're doing some detailing at Rob's place this weekend come on by. I'd be happy to take a look and try a few things, though I don't have any polish more aggressive than IP.
