Waiting for in-laws to arrive for Christmas Eve dinner - our traditional churrasco (tenderloin with chimichurri) + roasted potatoes + corn + black beans and rice for in-laws and my wife. (I’m a No Frijoles! guy.)

No dinner spread pics, but did an 11lb standing rib roast, slow cooked for 8 hours to medium rare.

Just the wife and I this Christmas - no traveling with how close she is to her due date. Made a pot roast today, first time. Brussel sprouts and a holiday orzo salad. Everything was tasty.

We also did a pot roast. Carrot and onions with the roast. Potatoes and stuffing for sides. Oof. Meant to take a pic before we plated everything, but spaced it.

For us it was borscht soup for starters then Costco salmon fish pie, creamy mash and two types of cabbage mix, with Lebanese white wine...eat too much ..as you do at Christmas.
Today it's turkey. |
