The front crank seal, that I had a terrible time with this last summer, had a pin hole leak at the seem where the block comes together and you are suppose to inject it with special BMW sealant after priming the slot with special BMW primer prior to installing the new seal.

I fixed this over the weekend -

So, rather than taking the seal out and starting all over, I used Ultra Black as a sort of caulk. I "caulked" all the way around the entire seal and a few inches down the seam where the block comes together. I then waited 24 hours, per the instructions on the tube, prior to starting the car. The next day I ran the car for about 30-45 min.

NO LEAK!!!

I even checked today after a 30 mile drive. Still no leak

Also noticed this under the hood on one of the coolant hoses. Seems to be a bit of a harder section in the hose. Not sure what would cause this. Seems to be on the surface of the hose only (hopefully). Car only has 34,000 miles on it and the rest of the cooling system looks good. I've ordered a replacement hose, which looks like a pain in the ass to replace. Hopefully it won't blow apart on my trip to upper state NY this weekend.
looks heat damaged.

wrap it with some silicone self sealing tape before your trip, just in case.

Yeah that was my thought as well. Replacement hose is on the way so i'll do that in the meantime.

Did the LCI models get rid of the hood insulation from pre-LCI?

Got my PCV and heater wiring recall done last week. They gave me an X2 for a loaner and it was alright--gas and steering felt very numb.

Raised the car up some, this is with Eibach pro and e30 front perches and e30 10mm spring pads in the rear (Thanks Feuer for your input/help). The rear will come down a fraction since brand new with fronts settled, and all new spring rubber parts top/btm front and rear Koni FSD. Drives great, and attached pic for reference and came from standard sport + FSD.

Did mine last week too, got 330i xdrive. While I love the fact that it's at 1800 rpms at 80mph, it did feel numb. Like if my mom's avalon was fast.

No problem, and heading on ferry so sorry for screenshot. Just drill/cut out center with hole-saw bit/knife to match shaft outer diameter of upper spring seat, between metal spring seat and body of car.

Good luck, and for me 10mm seem perfect to remain stock height in rear.

I don't have an android device so if I was to go the FBO route again I'd probably just do a Cobb + protune if any of the tuners on here still use it. Simple, cheap, and works well. Didn't want downpipes or any of that and it was $50 to have it reflashed. It's a beast with the FMIC + Dinan tune so I'm happy!

First trying to avoid falling acorns in front of my house. Now cleaning the engine bay, that's full of fall foliage leaves. Snow is next.
