I was at my second DE in 2000 at Road Atlanta, in the rain, and this guy (almost as large as the car, he's probably here so I have to watch it haha) in an e30 track prepped car proceeded to lap the shit out of me in a 330rwhp '93 rx7. Sold it that year and bought a club race e36 out of Sevierville TN converted back to street. Got me all the way to instructing and crashed it at IRP drying the track for a Mazda club event 4 years later. Stupid error.

Only 2 cars were more than 2 doors. More than half were manual. I miss the sound of the Probe GT (2.5L V6), wish I had more time with the Supra. Although the G42 is a fun daily, itching for a toy or track car, maybe a Miata/MX-5.

Lol my list is VERY short compared to most people here... before my 335i I had a 2011 Audi A4 2.0T. Front wheel drive, CVT. Decent car and the HEAVY depreciation made it affordable for a teenager but looking back I wish I'd bought the champagne E90 328i I passed on. I loved the interior of the Audi but the actual feeling of driving it was pretty dull and it burned a frankly unholy amount of oil. Basically I decided that I'd be okay with car issues as long as the car was fun, which the A4 wasn't. Hence the 335i.

After I listed things out in the post, I noticed an odd trend: starting with the 1989 model year, I seem to purchase a car every 7 years (or multiple thereof, like 14 years). And it holds true that my BMW M3 is a 2024 model year.

Mostly Porsches. The interiors of modern BMWs is the gold standard in my opinion.

How would you compare the electronics between the two brands?

I came from a long line of MINI cars and recently made the switch. Still feeling out the X1 versus my Clubman S All4 but I have so far been pleasantly surprised.
