Anybody have a timeframe from when the car went to In Transit to time of delivery?

For my car it was 5 weeks, of which about 3 of those weeks was sitting in the Delta BC railyard, likely waiting for import inspection.

By calling my sales person to have them look up in the internal BMW system, as with the VIN number it would just say “In Transit” on the “Track My BMW” site (https://www.bmw.ca/en/ssl/trackmybmw.html). They could only see limited additional detail, but they could tell that it was in the Delta BC railyard at Annacis Island where import processing is done, from the info they had access to.

Just got a call from one of the dealers I am on the list and I jumped up 5 spots (economy giving folks cold feet perhaps).

I got a production number.

This is what my dealer told me. Before the car was launched, they had a long list and it basically evaporated. Mind you I think people have many deposits. I've cancelled a few deposits in the last year.

I got my allocation two week ago and was told I should get mine first week of Aug.

That's a tad bit too optimistic imo. September is more realistic.

Your CA 99% won’t know anything. We just wait for the cars to arrive

I never had any real delays. Quality control 1 day. Ready for transport 4-5 days. It shipped June 13th from the factory.

I got the bucket seats, so I won't be surprised if quality control = waiting for bucket seats to get in stock.

That may be a bit optimistic, due to factors outside of BMWs control. My car was built 26 Apr, arrived in BC in mid-May, then sat in the Delta, BC railyards for (what seemed to be) import inspection for over 2 weeks before being transported to Calgary and delivered to me on 10 Jun. All the dealer could say while it was in Delta was “still showing in the railyard”.

It’s enroute and already left Delta. I am not uncertain haha

it'S probably some HEA cars...
I have a may allocation.
But with carbon seat, my production was push back until June 12.

Mine is factory ordered and not an HEA car, and has been prowling around the West for a few weeks now. It was a March allocation car originally for mid-May production, but was actually built on 26 April.

It was the first customer ordered car delivered at BMW Gallery, but there have been others delivered at Calgary BMW, too.

I talk with the sales manager last week.
It seems there is an important backlog at Quality Control and a shortage of parts.
It's not looking good
