Ok here are my thoughts as best I can think of regarding keeping/selling my car...

1) Double pay each month and own this car in 1.5ish years (I have 40mos left on the loan), will be making more money (ideally) and should be able to afford a nice starter place no problem

Do I really want to keep this car for that long...it's under warranty but I have a tendency to mod and problems not covered by warranty could really hurt... Do I want to 1.5 years...who knows how the market will be then?

2) Sell/trade this car in (my equity is about neutral for kbb trade in value) and cut my payments by 40-50% and start stacking paper

Would require moving into something older/higher mileage...same maintenance problems persist but would be better able to deal with them

3) Sell/trade this car for something newish, lower mileage, less than or similar to my buyout price, and that I would be more comfortable with owning out of and without warranty...payments would be lower than they are now, double pay every other month (and save on the alternate months)...sort of a hybrid of 1 and 2

Property buying timeline uncertain, the same car maintenance and market uncertainties exist as well

Any thoughts?

My estimated budgeting is as follows:
TV/Internet: $75
Energy: $150
Water: $50
Food: $400
Home Ins: $25
Taxes/loan insurance: $200-400 (depends obviously)
Miscellaneous: $150

ran monday and today...not fast but on a pretty good incline (treadmill)...only about 1-1.5 miles (with some power walk warm up, cool down)...out of breath, sweaty, weird, in creepy basement...

I vote #1 or #3 but thats cuz I've never been good at saving.

You know if you sell and downgrade TOO much you'll regret it though.
