It wouldn't. BMW Coding Tool is a 3rd Party Tool developed to install Daten for use with NCS Expert and WinKFP. PM sent.

Do you have a recommendation for a power supply for the coding/programming sessions? If so, it would have to be also compatible with the lithium-ion batteries.

But I am definitely not into something like DBL1200-28.

I use a Schumacher - INC-700A, but I do not think Lithium-ion is supported.
