I tried Big Motoring World lots of cars, not very well prepared, Not allowed a test drive until we had done the numbers. Lots of salesman giving you hard sell.
I walked away but it would have been easy to get roped in to signing on the line for a car I hadn't even test driven!!!! My advice about Big Motoring World is drive past and give the horn a blast!!!!! |

Not all bad!
I read through most of the forums regarding Big Motoring World and armed with this information still went ahead and paid them a visit to make my own mind up.
The member of staff that I dealt with was knowlegeable and helpful and I secured a deal on a 2004 6 Series Convertible at a very competitve price. I was not happy buying their "indemnity insurance" that is added on the purchase price, but managed to get it included within the total purchase price. I don't know how good this cover would be in the event of a claim, it is offered by Big Motoring World and not an insurance company, there was no paperwork issued when I picked the car up. I had the car checked for my own piece of mind. Obviously this is a definate for anyone buying a car either private or trade. There were a few problems with the car on the initial viewing and they assured me that they would be taken care of. After I picked the car up I saw some of the issues had not been fixed (I had picked the car up in the dark). They have now sorted out all issues with the car and it is fine. When buying a car from them make sure that any problems that you have are written down on the purchase invoice to be repaired/replaced under the purchase price. My car came with a three month warranty from Warranty 2000 and I was offered to extand this, again I am not sure as to how good this is. you'll never know until it come's to making a claim. I have since taken out a new policy with Warranty Direct for less than I was offered from them. I would recomend this company and use them again, just bear in mind you are not going to get official BMW service levels at their prices. Last edited by paulpronto; 01-13-2011 at 11:35 AM.. |

'Pissed Consumer' website appears to be an American site looking at their contact details.
From what I've read I wouldn't trust the UK 'Big Motoring World' but does the information on 'pissed consumer' relate to a company across the pond with the same name? Just a thought?? |

I don't understand why anyone would visit BIG MOTORING WORLD, the prices aren't any cheaper than a real car dealership.
I spent a lot of time looking around dealer alternatives trying to find a good price, places like BIG MOTORING WORLD and AutoQuake and ended up finding the best price in a big name franchised dealership! |

I'm of the opinion that you, your staff &/or their family &/or friends are pretending to be happy members of the Big Motoring World buying public. I may be completely wrong. If so, then please accept my apologies. However, if my assumption proves to be correct, then I hope you acquire everything you so rightly deserve. Now, as it's the start of a new year, lets make some resolutions shall we. Here are my 'big 5' for 2011: 1 Let 'Bigsy' say what he wants to first, then tell him exactly what you think, without hiding your feelings 2 Give Big Motoring World the chance to rectify the 'issues' for which they may well be completely responsible 3 Try to help Big Motoring World to help themselves, irrespective of whether you think they deserve it 4 Try to maintain some form of communication between the members & Big Motoring World, irrespective of how ridiculous, liable, improbable or completely untruthful their posts may be 5 Try to improve the relationship between the forum members & Big Motoring World, with the aid of 'THE Party', the organisation of which 'Bigsy' may still be ignoring Now 'Bigsy', would you mind telling me what your new year resolutions are, please? I really am interested to hear what they are. I'm guessing you've probably got something along the lines of wanting to lose weight, keeping fit, stopping drinking, smoking & minimising sexual 'inebriation', possibly. Don't worry about those, as Will & Ed inform me that their 'Gimp Plan' incorporates everything necessary to help you. It'll involve some prolonged sensory stimulation followed by an even longer period of sensory deprivation, but it's guaranteed to work, apparently. There are some other processes involved, but they both just looked at me, laughed for a couple of seconds & then just broke down in tears, when I asked them about those. It'll take around 48 hours to complete & you may well be sore for a couple of weeks, but 'it'll be fooking worth it', they tell me. Now, we really need to put aside our differences & get on with the planning of 'THE Party'. Tony informs me that catering plans are well in hand & Ed has almost completed the hardback edition of the list of foods which will keep him happy for the first hour, at least. Will is still in the process of evaluating the entertainment options. I've told him he can forget about the sado masochism theme for the party, but he still has the masks from UK10 & isn't prepared to stash them away just yet. Best wishes & I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you, paulpronto & the rest of your staff all the very best for 2011. Viv |
