Hard pipe was a cheap easy way to allow more flow.
I never could log the difference before and after as I upgraded other parts. The rb inlets are much much larger, pretty sure double the size. I think the silicone ones are the go now that they are available. |

Yep just another three nights figuring out how to get this front turbo to fit in.
The rb Classic and stealths slip straight in but I've spent two hours plus trying to get them in, even tried pulling the engine over. Really not sure how to get them in at the moment. |

Look sweet mate... hope they hold up and don't end up smoking... on the plus side you can easily swap em out if they do..

I'll leave all the smoking to the tyres hopefully.
I've had q great user experience with my rbs especially the stealths they were unreal. I still hate myself for pulling them out but the Evos should be a better setup. I do not want to do any more turbo swaps unless it's someone else's car. I've had enough. |

Went for my first drive last night with the Evos.
Just a quick run around the block on the previous tune. Started it a few days ago but put my front 02sensors around the wrong way. Haven't really got an impression of how they perform besides its still very twitchy/quick throttle response as I had with rb stealths. The plumbing is all upgrades so hoping for better results at all rpm and less stress considering the turbo frames are also larger. I'm currently trying to organise race fuel from Melbourne but waiting for some answer on what is recommended. Overall It was an easy install besides getting the front turbo to fit. All I had to do was put the engine eyelet in and pull the engine over about 20mm. |

Effing legend, I'll feel proud of myself when I've changed FMIC, outlets, intakes, plugs and coil packs, which I'll be doing in a couple if weeks
Can't wait to hear how it turns out with a new tune...I guess you won't get a good track run until it cools off a bit in the NT |

Thanks
Doing any work yourself is good. I don't feel proud I feel like getting some boost! It had enough power with the stealths I just like the idea that it's a more efficient setup. There's only 1 drifting event in a few weeks then I'll have to wait till March for the drags to open. The kwv3 feel pretty good compared to the stock setup, just put 50odd Ks on it tonight. |

RHD need to cut this much for it to fit. The foil wrap I put on is to protect the silicone from the steel cable ties. NOTE: Outlet pipe is different on teh evo setup. Last edited by Brule; 11-27-2016 at 04:59 AM.. Reason: Note: |

So today I have removed the coolant tank, vacuum canisters and solenoids in attempt to sort out some issues.
1) Fit coolant tank better ( need to cut one time clamp off coolant line and rotate it 45 degrees) It will then be able to use one bolt hole to secure it. 2) Vacuum canisters will be bolted together then have to make a custom bracket or tie them in somewhere. 3) Cable tie outlet pipe right at steering column to prevent rubbing. I tried cable tying today but need to drill two holes a bit closer to the steering column to secure it with clearance. |

Suspension mods are getting there. Its so good not having the knocking I was getting form the buggered rear struts.
To compliment the KWV3 I have just bought M3 control arms front and rear with trailing arms, toe arms rear and already have m3 guide rods. Also ordered Vorshlag camber plates so I can hopefully have some fun at the track next year. Still sitting here ready to go on are the Whiteline subframe and diff bushings with the Rogue transmission mounts I'm not sure about anything else but was looking at the M3 front and rear sway bars. Seen a few drops of oil maybe 10 drop so I pulled off a fair bit of stuff to have a look at every tear turbo oil line.
Had to take off dps coolant vacuum ect and loosen rear manifold nuts to see the final rear top oil line. There was no leak it must have been when I pulled the caps out of the turbo and never cleaned the oil up. That has taken me two weeks after work to pull apart. I went and secured the outlet so it clears the steering rack. For those getting outlets I'll post up some images of holes you can use and where to drill two holes to secure the inlet easy without guessing like I had to. I got my coolant tank to fit back in oem location with some tweaking and the boost solenoid bracket is well away from the coolant tank and outlets I'm not sure why RB updated the design when it works well already. I just have to put heat shield coolant tank and vacuum canisters and wheel well plastics and I should be ready for some logs. Buraqs has been a bit busy so I said I could wait a couple of weeks till tuning. |

Meanwhile more suspension components have turned up.
M3 control arms and trailing arm kit off Ecs. I got whiteline sway bars front and rear with front adjustable end links. Still waiting on Vorshlag camber plates and Megan racing toe arms to turn up. Once these are installed I'm finished. I'll actually use my car instead of pulling it apart 9 months of the year Last edited by Brule; 12-13-2016 at 02:52 AM.. |

Got the car going again did about 30km
Haven't really hit any boost yet. No codes and my abs is all working again which is a bonus. Picked up the whiteline sway bars today, they are pretty heavy. Should stiffen it up a bit. |

Haven't heard anything. Probably have some sort of drink driving blitz on I reckon.
I got up early to put a few Ks on it this morning. I keep getting an engine light pop up on start up,mhd doesn't show the code but in the Schwann scanner it has a o2 sensor code for bank 1 no. 2 so I'll be researching that tonight. |
