Added this lil Bluetooth dongle. Sounds really clear. Supposedly it's 4.2

Finally got around installing the Ebay "fog light delete" air ducts for the ///M3 rep bumper cover. I must say, the fit was near perfect. Very minor trimming on the right side duct to clear the oil cooler (335i), and opened the duct passage in the left splash guard for the larger ducting. That's it! Love the more aggressive look and especially the extra air flow.

Used it to tow a bike home, 800 miles round trip with half that laden with the bike without missing a beat. Only lost about 2mpg with the bike attached.

Ran an ozone generator in my new wagon for a bit to cut down on the old cig smell. Worked a treat, even just 30 mins of it. Excited to run it overnight, and hopefully not feel ill during my drive to work tomorrow.
Tried to replace the dead reverse lamp, only to discover that not only was it unplugged due to the previous owner trying to fix it, but that the lamp was just fine... Poked the rubber jacket for the harness, and *flash*, on came the light, for a half second. Sigh. Spent a little time cleaning out the garage so I can bring in the old wagon to flash it back to 1IM and start pulling parts off it. Kinda feel strange about it... I've had over 30 cars since I was 15ish, usually not keeping anything more than a year because I just get bored... I've had the wagon 5 years, and never got bored... It's been with me through a lot, and I was hoping to keep it another 5. Switching to another one that hasn't had 3 accidents (2 by family members) feels somehow like a betrayal. The improved experience of having CIC and Harman Kardon 7 channel sound is enough to push me over the edge though, don't want to go back Will be fun to start throwing new projects at it too... NBT w/carplay for in-dash Google maps. Active cruise. Cameras. Sport seats from the old car. Not sure what else yet Last edited by vilord; 12-18-2018 at 11:49 AM.. |

I bought a Ram 2500 out of Texas that was smoked in by the PO. After 3-4 Ozone treatments and wiping down all the plastic, you couldn't tell it was smoked in. |
