Are you talking about the ones that replace the stock covers? (They are actually covers rather than the eBay overlays)

Yes they are actually covers that replace the stock covers. The overlays look awful in my opinion as they clearly look stuck on over the top and it stands out a mile away

you could get your covers hydro dipped. would be cheaper than carbon covers and better than the overlays

A really good tint guy who gives a damn can make it look and hold up decent. I do not have such a a guy, mine looks kinda crappy there it has held up fine for 2 years so far lol

I just left a strip untinted across the top of the rear window where the dots are

If you take a look at the tint that's over the dots from outside, it is actually an eye sore.

What Socket did is what most people do with the addition of a roof spoiler or vinyl wrapping that top section. Some even paint it. Problem with vinyl is that it looks purple when sun shines on it.
