Not exactly the same. While the impact of Max on Red Bull Racing has been nothing but extraordinary, How much of Red Bull Racing is part of Red Bull GmbH being its one of many subsidiaries? Hamilton being an ambassador for Mercedes-Benz makes a lot more sense because Mercedes-AMG F1 is a direct extension of Mercedes-Benz AG and from a marketing and operation standpoint, there's a closer relationship between the two than Red Bull Racing and Red Bull GmbH.

Not saying you're wrong, but this is more of a response to the original comment you referenced. Hamilton is better suited to be used as one of many faces representing Mercedes-Benz. Not sure if Max being the face of Red Bull really translates to any of it's other subsidiaries outside of Red Bull Racing and RB Formula One Team (Scuderia AlphaTauri).
