Not looking good. They don't know what it is, had to open a case with BMW. They did say they are taking a module out of another X6M and swap and see if that works.

Seriously though, the manager (s) probably drive M's as company vehicles, they should just throw you one while they have yours.

I confess that I passed somebody on double yellow lines this morning.

Minivan barely doing 35 in a 45 and the double yellow was 12 miles more. In what used to be a passing zone, I saw it was 100% clear and took my shot. I figured 4 points for tailgating vs 4 points for passing in a double yellow and went for it.

They gave me the finger and shook their fists but I was free

So, I went to the dealer this morning to swap out loaners. They put me in a brand new X5 with 1400 miles on the odometer.

I was talking to the SA and he said as of yesterday afternoon, my case was escalated to some engineering division in Germany. I'm not sure if I should be happy or concerned. He said they only do that when something is really strange. Stay tuned....

I have to confess that there is now a vehicle with a slushbox automatic transmission in our driveway, and it feels icky!

Hopefully my DW will make it go away before any of our friends see it. At least our names aren't on the title or registration.....
