I contacted the selling dealer and asked about it… when I asked if they could have a PPI done (at my expense) I was told they didn’t have time to get that done. So that ended the deal for me. |

I'll go ahead and do the honors myself before someone else does their own sleuthing: https://www.autotrader.com/marketpla...VS13577FV95091
My 6MT RWD ZSP E91 is for sale! Spent the better part of three years looking for a car like this and am very sad to let it go. Feel free to reach out here or on Autotrader if you have any questions. Some highlights: - Lifelong west coast car with zero rust. - Completely stock, zero modifications. - 1/429 RWD manual transmission E91s produced for the US market over a five year production run (2007-2012). - 1/1 Crimson Red over tan w/ sport package (+ all of the above). - Amazingly well specced- Logic 7 Sound, Cold Weather Package, Xenons, sport package, comfort access, AND flat dash with no iDrive. - OFHG, OPG, and VCG all new within the last 2 years/20K miles. Car drives great. Asking $16,500 OBO. Last edited by ekimp; 01-30-2024 at 11:54 PM.. |

Great car at a very reasonable price!
FWIW I have a nearly identical spec '07, minus the cold weather package & the "sport package" was a conversion from non-sport by me. And add another 90,000 miles or so. A lot of purists sneer at the tan interior but I think it matches up beautifully with the red. GLWS.... |

I also have an LCI e91 that’s the same color and spec as yours but it’s an auto (for now lol). I wasn’t initially a fan of the beige but it looks soooo good with the red! |

Seems like this one fell through... a bunch of comments went up about it being listed on FB, but CaB keeps taking them down. Tried embedding a screenshot... bimmerpost really doesn't like my image hosting service I guess... quote of deleted comment: "Sale unfortunately fell through due to unforeseen circumstances on the buyers side. Totally understandable and things do happen! C&B has been great with communication and understanding. The car is currently on FB yes by me, colter. It’s going up on BAT next week and luckily we do have the build sheet finally! A lot more info, especially regarding the donor engine!" |

Made contact with the seller, its apparently going up on BaT today, with rebuild documentation this time... will see. I'm still skeptical of that hood gap and general visible condition of that engine.

The hood fitment is off on every corner, both sides and all along the front where it meets the bumper.

Yeah, its rough... and the comments are already picking that apart. Seller really needed to do a better job documenting the rebuild process. I'm going to be shocked if this brings any more money than it did on CaB, potentially less because of the "why didn't it sell" question that any considering bidder will have in the back of their mind.
Provided it stays cheap enough I might be interested in it, but this thing is going to need a non-zero amount done by the next owner. Definitely feels like an unfinished project. |

The hood gap can be corrected or made less visible by loosening the core support bolts and raising it up. The hood/fender gaps look a little bigger than oem. The fenders probably need to be re aligned if they were removed. The front end is just held on with bolts so it can be fixed. I’d be more concerned about the curtain airbag since the whole headliner had to be dropped to replace it. |

Either way - how much money do you think would be needed to actually sort the loose ends exterior-wise here? I am interested in this car, and am honestly more off-put by the seller than I am by anything specific to the vehicle, but haven't had much experience with fixing bodywork on anything nearly as new as an E9x. Better check with Mass DMV as they might deem the engine swap not legal. Might say it requires an N55. Mass can be very much a butt pain hen it comes to modded cars. My 07 wagon had hard time getting a sticker again thy said its to low in rear on factory ride. |
