Seriously, I run them on all my cars now. They have not let my family down ever.

Put an ebay front lip on this past Wednesday. I used the shitty self tapping screws they provided. I was a little concerned about how well it was gonna hold up. Today while passing some one on the highway I got a little throttle happy and got up to about 120mph and the front lip came flying off....

Where did you buy the fuzzy tape? Any pictures of the lighter install under the dash?

Did some more work on the fiberglass storage compartment. First image shows all the fiberglass and resin still wet when making the front panel cover. Second image shows the dried and trimmed result. And the third image shows a test fit final trimming and fitment.

I agree, I think the piano black will fit better with the color of the interior.

The tape is called Tesa Fleece Tape. It's the same stuff wiring harnesses are wrapped in the car.

The 12v cigarette lighter socket under the dash on the passenger side was already there. Is it available on all E90s, or just some? I think if it's not there, there is a hole to install it. Unfortunately I don't have any information about that. Should be an easy retrofit I'd imagine.

Thanks for the link to the tape. I dont recall seeing the lighter socket under the passenger side dash but I'll have to recheck, would be beneficial to know if its there.

Is there any reason why you decided to run the wire to the lighter socket instead of tapping into the fuse box?

I think that's the one thing almost all e9x owners don't know about. Although i think it's not there on cars with smokers package. Someone verify, i maybe wrong

Honestly, it was just easier to do. It's out of the way enough that no one will notice it. The dash cam came with a super long USB cable, and the socket automatically turns on/off with the ignition.
