I walked by it to my Jeep with 297 k miles and thought "When will I end up with a useless engine due to a spun bearing."

The 12v cigarette lighter socket under the dash on the passenger side was already there. Is it available on all E90s, or just some? I think if it's not there, there is a hole to install it. Unfortunately I don't have any information about that. Should be an easy retrofit I'd imagine.
Thanks for the link to the tape. I dont recall seeing the lighter socket under the passenger side dash but I'll have to recheck, would be beneficial to know if its there.

Is there any reason why you decided to run the wire to the lighter socket instead of tapping into the fuse box?
I think that's the one thing almost all e9x owners don't know about. Although i think it's not there on cars with smokers package. Someone verify, i maybe wrong
Yeah, I checked as soon as I got out of work and it was there! I'm pleasantly surprised and happy to see there is one located up front by the dash (I don't have one in the storage compartment below the HVAC controls as some cars have).

Finally replaced the front brakes. I think the dealership told me they were worn out *last* January.

Finished installing the fenders, fender liners, side skirt and underbelly pans. Finally looks like it should again!

A little goofy with one LCI and one non-LCI headlight (turn signal module fried in the right headlight), and the left headlight and bumper seem to have too much gap to the hood... more to tweak once i get in the parts to fix my other LCI headlight.

Hoping to tackle the L7 and NBT install later this week.

Ooh, I like the Alcantara! Might look into getting that for both the wagon and the TT.

Is the one you put in an ebay/amazon/etc or BMW OE?

Seriously, I run them on all my cars now. They have not let my family down ever.
Blizzak WS-80 will always be in my top 2.

I guess they have a new updated version / WS-90

Finally got this &*^%$#$%^ car through MD inspection. Woot. The major delay was the BRAKE light sensor warning in the dash. Mechanically everything was fine, purely an electronic issue. CBS would not let me reset the brake pad wear mileage, and INPA could not clear the sensor error, despite the sensors being brand new. Had been told the cluster needed to be coded to the car; did that, still didn't go away. Jumped the front sensor, light went from red to yellow and mileage reset, but light stayed on yellow. Reinstalled the jumper, re-cleared codes, and boom, problem solved. Could be a defective new front sensor? I dunno. But I won this round, BMW.

Just picked up the car from the dealership. Got a free injector replacement under the extended warranty. It was an index 12 injector that went bad and was reporting half the voltage (or ohms?) as a functioning one. I wish they replaced all the other index 12 injectors to a brand new set as well. I actually made this injector fail by gunning it on a hill. Maybe I can reproduce it that way lol.

Went out in the rain to test fit my new lip. I think an msport rear bumper is next on the list to set it off.

I just purchased my car Saturday and have been feeling it out, trying to find any issues with it. I've also been trying to post a thread on this forum as I just registered, but have no clue how to. I guess my day wasn't as productive as I thought lol.
