for the lurkers out there...this is a good opporutunity to come out to a meet and get your rims fixed if you needed to. Son is a great guy, honest and funt to talk to. His work is amazing and he's contracted all over the LA area, so for him to be up in the bay is something unique.

Luckily they're just halogens so a replacement will be cheap.

You just gave me an idea, though. Hmm...

just halogens? i dunno how you can see with those. i think at the minimum i'd go with the ddm hid lights since they are so cheap. I had the 35w ones but after a while I wish i had gotten the 55w kits.

I currently have the 35w ddm's on my bronzit and a different brand entirely on my white one which is a lot brighter.

i guess it depends on what brand. I have the 35w ddm in 5000K and that's ok but I wish they were brighter. I read that if you go with 55w, it'll drown out the color a bit more so I would go with 6000K for 55w. I think it's a good compromise of color and actual light output. I think anything over 6K is meant for the vtec just kicked in yo crowd.

Check the forum.norcale30.com site in the classified section. One of the regulars posted a link to a guy selling some HIDs thaty a lot of people vouch for that's supposed to be pretty good quality and for cheap.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking 55W w/5000K, but seems most people are telling me 6000K with the higher output ballasts.

This one, right? http://forum.norcale30.com/showthread.php?t=9098

I know Golde30 has been selling the same kits for a while, but they cost a bit more.

Yeah, that's true. I do know a lot of E46 guys that go through DDM for their lighting.

i have ddm 4500k h1 with slim ballasts in my gf's rsx. it's a bit more blue than i thought it would be. i was looking for more just pure white which would have the most usable light. glad i did not go with anything higher than 4500k.
