Nice shot of your car! Love the fall colors and the angel eyes. I can't wait to autocross too. I've never done anything like it before except for spinning out in empty parking lots. :-)
How are nights? Hopefully you'll have some time off- I luckily only have two call weeks between now and July.

Philip is convincing me to get an ESS or Dinan tune- Im def going to do one
Next time, just buy an M3 and be done with it. Wanna go to the BE Tourney?

I’m taking out my JB4 tonight before the car goes in for service. If anyone wants a good learning opportunity, stop by and I can show you the install / uninstall process.

Hey guys,
So I'm taking my car into BMW of Rochester unfortunately, I noticed the other day a wet oil spot under my car and today I climbed under there and found the transmission was the source of the leak. My question for you guys is what SA would you guys recommend? I need someone good because I need to talk to them about possibly covering this under warranty even though my warranty was up 2 months ago. I bought the car from them less then a year ago so I am a little disappointed with the fact that I will probably have to shell out at least a grand. Talking to the right SA may be critical.

I got the AR design and they were a pain in the a$$ the first time. The nuts on the exhaust to stock DP's were stuck but I was able to snap them off. Its easier to lower the sub frame to take the stock ones off and it was a pain to line the motor mounts and subframe back up but other than that it wouldnt have ben bad but still took me like 12 hours, hopefully now that the nuts and bolts have been removed once it will be easier to put the stock dps back on for the inspection sticker every year. Also the one O2 senser needs longer wires. BMW saved some money with making them just long enough. Still will fit but takes a couple efforts. Definitely use a lift. My uncle has one so let me know but he is pretty busy and its tough to get in there. I suggest using a lift. dont know how that guy does it in two hrs on jack stands. but definitely a noticely different exhaust note and turbos can be heard spouling and sucking. exhaust is still quiet though. pretty fast as well so watch out for me on the threway i am white sedan 335 xi

Priceless!!!

I saw a lot of toys being driven today. I saw an SL and a R8 looked brand new!

If my insurance company was not such idiots and forces me to me turn in the plates in order to remove collision coverage for storage purposes.

I would have awoken my baby from her winters nap!!! DOH

Yeah, it was pretty nice yesterday. I was going to drive my car to work but was worried that the weather may turn for the worse.. We've had an unusually mild winter. I've been lucky enough to take the car out a few times. I hope we have an early spring this year.

Hey guys,
Just an update- After dropping my car off at BMW of Rochester on tuesday they called me back to tell me the Transmission Sleeve was leaking oil...900$ for the total repair. I told them thats a no go after buying the car less then a year ago from them...I told them I feel ripped off and actually scammed because of the fact that I haven't even been driving that car for the entire winter and one month before I put it away I had it in their dealership so it should have been noticed. They didn't want to help me either way so we took the case the BMW NA and I received notice today they will cover the entire cost of the repair. So I pick the car up tomorrow and hopefully never have to return. Thank god for BMW NA. Even though I didn't get any support for them, Steve the SA was professional and nice enough to me.

Anyways, just wanted to throw out an update for you guys.

Thanks for the update, Brian. I've always had really good experiences with Steve and while I'm sorry that the dealership wouldn't step up, I'm glad to hear that BMW did.

Glad to hear that at least the repairs were done. I actually have to go back to the dealership to get the ticking fixed. Changing the lifters didn't seem to do the trick. I started up the car the other night after I installed my new ZHP shifter knob and the ticking was still there...

I'm sure BMW of Rochester will agree to fix it. I just have to find the time to get down there.

I can't wait for spring!!!

Hey guys how has the snow been this winter in Rochester/Syracuse?

Here in Philly we are getting about an inch today .... we have had no real accumulation all year, only light snows here and there. I'm not complaining.

Here in Syracuse, we've only had 1 moderate snowfall which brought about 6". Supposed to get a few inches tomorrow I believe. Lame winter for snow so far, though as a result I've gotten to drive my car far more than expected.

Nice .... that's a break. I went to college 4 years at RIT, and man I remember some of those winters - snowfall after snowfall. Sucked, but I had a Subaru then.

Finally a real winter day

I went to the amazingly small Buffalo Auto Show on Friday. I sat in a F30 328i was very nice, looks way better in the "flesh" than pictures! I love the big screen in the dash beautiful! I also sat in a in a Countryman I love the utility and the Mini Coupe amazing little car. I was amazed at how much head space that I had in the coupe!

I also saw the Fisker Karma interesting vehicle!
I also loved the Range Rover Evoque I love how it looks! However its very $$$$$$

I also liked some Ford product such as the Explorer and the just released new Fusion. If it drove decent I could see getting one as an everyday beater car!
