plus, i've got my eye on the bmw performance suspension upgrade that will lower it another 5-10mm all around.

Well guys, after some thinking, I'm going to just run 18s. I will just get a nice set of 18s for the price of 19s. I love the look of those wheels but they arnt offered in a 18.

Reason why, I just want some rubber between the rim and road and being it will be my DD, I don't want to loose all ride comfort.

So I'll look tonight and post some up

I'm only a few years behind you but agree that "slammed" just doesn't make sense. There is tastefully lowered that makes sense, which can be accomplished with minor upgrades or a solid coilover setup, and then there are people that dump the ride and it really makes me want to

The BMW P Suspension + SP LP will be solid.

Hrmm. Nice catch. My buddy with a Z4M Coupe was looking at these or an Apex Racing setup, both in 18's.

I suggest the "pay to play."
Put down some extra money. Get the EXACT wheel you want at the exact specs with tires and TPMS. Then, you won't have to worry about anything else.
Might as well not settle for mods on the Bimmer.

right there with ya. i like the flush look but not to the point where the car can't get over speed bumps.

Apex ARC-8 or EC-7 wheels are sweet. For looks, I prefer EC-7 but when weight is an issue, ARC-8's are lighter.

"Pay to play" is definitely applicable for wheels & tires. It's not like spring weather already started here anyway.

Yea Dan you absolutely nailed it with the e90 and new setup. It's how it should be from Germany.

Apex wheels are my fav, either style. Definitely at the top of my wish list, esp with the next ride. 19"+ wheels, IMO, are impractical in MI. Plus, the OEM 18's make great winter shoes and then summer tires can be re-purposed on some lightweight 18's.

Thanks again, Brandon. Before I bought my Style 219M's, I was considering 19's again. But after damaging two of my LM reps beyond repair, I wanted forged wheels but couldn't find anything without spending lots of $$$. Apex's were definitely on the table but then, I stumbled across Misha's Style 219M/260M thread.

I don't like the looks of the Apex rims. Sorry I'm different I know. Might go to budget fire and see what they can do.

Can I run 18x10 easy without rub? I knew I couldn't run 19s but idk 18

like any question, it depends. what offsets are you talking about? tire sizes?

go through these pages and read up first. my suggestions:
1.) Know what you want. Example: Why do you want 18x10? Are you looking for 18x10 squared set-up or a staggered set-up with 18x10 only in the rear? Are you just going for looks or for performance?
2.) Find wheels available in the outer diameter, width(s) and offsets you're looking for.
3.) From what's available in those dimensions, look at which of those designs you like.

What I want is looks and some performance. I love the look of a deep wheel, that's why I asked if I can fit 18x10 easy.

I know I want a silver and gray or black wheel so it matches the car. I also know I want to run an offset setup with 8.5 front and either 9.5 or 10.

Just no one has said if I can run a 18x10 easily.

ask "hawaiinese" what he's running. he's being sponsored by them. ask him what offsets he'd recommend for 18x10

Ok will do.

And u said get me to figure out that I want. I realized the kinda wheel I do like is a wheel with a deep lip on the back. Like a 5-6 spoke or split.

It's good to hear that there's someone else on here in my "age range" (34 in a few months).

Thanks for the discussion, too. Just picked up a 2010 e92 coupe xDrive with all-season run-flats. Looking to get some nice wheels+tires for the summer and you helped me at least narrow it down to 18s (it's my DD too).

ok, good. so start searching for wheels with that type of design. be careful with the lip in MI. unless they're forged, they'll get bent with our roads.
