I was not disappointed. Initially friends teased me about driving a shoe box. I would take them for a drive out in the country and country and educate them. The 2002 would handle sweeping curves with no fuss whatsoever at speeds that caused the uninitiated to flinch. I would fly through such a curve about 30 MPH above the posted limit. After my passenger recovered I'd comment, "Not bad for a shoebox".

My first BMW was a 2008 E92 M3. Loved the naturally aspirated V8.

My first one which I had for 14 years was a 3 Series - E46
It was a fabulous car, lots of power and very comfortable Was forced to sell it owing to London's ULEZ scheme |

Just picked up my first BMW on the weekend. Moving up from a Renault Clio, I am now the owner of a 2016 BMW M135i with Stage 2 tune, Wagner Intercooler, Wagner downpipe, AFe Momentum GT intake, lowered by 25mm with H&R springs and 18 inch Koya rims. 😀

My first Bimmer just turned 45 today. Still have it and still very much in love..
Per BMW Classic, "This BMW 2002 US (Automatic) was manufactured on May 11th, 1976 and delivered on July 28th, 1976 to BMW of North America. The original colour was Polaris metallic, paint code 060." No longer Automatic, no longer Polaris… Manufactured in Bavaria, Built and driven with passion in America. |

First: 325i E46 in Steel Blue
Second: 135i w/ N54 in Jet Black Third: 335i F30 in Estoril Blue Fourth: M2C in Long Beach Blue Drove the E46 for about 6 months (passed from family) in college before I got my own car. It was the fastest and most luxurious car I had ever driven at the time. It left a huge impression on me; it had some of the best steering I've ever experienced even up to present day, and the E46 M3 became my dream car and played a role in my decision to own an M2, which I regard as the spiritual successor to that E46. |

My first BMW was a 2015 328x-drive and it was my dream car. Too bad a drunk driver hit me head on. Oh the joys of driving around idiots

My first BMW was an '87 325is.
Had a built head with a cam, headers/exhaust/suspension/chip/ OZ wheels w/sport cup tires. It was such a blast to drive... not fast by any means thou, maybe 180-185 hp? I owned it back in 2005 I think.

My first was a 99 E36 M3 Manual 5spd vert. Liked it so much we ended up buying an 05 E46 ZCP M3 manual 6spd to join it as our second car.
Stock for stock the E36, even though it was a vert, was way more tossable then the E46. The suspension on the post 03’s was aweful! |
