I don't even have v3 yet and I want it. If you done any logging having three gauges on one screen is awesome.

The differences between the V2 and V3 are essentially cosmetic. A few of them are:
-Bigger, better layed out screen and more user friendly navigation.
-Displaying up to 6 logging channels at once.
-A much more modern look with user customizable face plates

Whether it's worth it or not is up to you. It's like asking yourself if you really need the latest and greatest Iphone/Android or if the one you have will do.

Quick Question Been running Stage 2 (Stg2+FMIC ST Aggrssv IJE0S v402
Stock Throttle) for over couple of months and have been on track with it for (4) 30 min sessions. My temps hit 285 at one point and stayed around 280, but no limp mode detected. I heard that if the engine oil temps hit ~270 the car goes into limp mode. Does this OTS MAP eliminate limp mode or is the limp mode temp raised to something higher? My car is 2008 e92 manual gearbox, and ya i have stock oil cooler as well.

I don't think Cobb messes with heat related limp mode. In ATR you can hush up the IAT comp tables, but that’s more of a timing retard function, you wouldn’t limp from IAT unless things got crazy hot.

Just installed my Cobb v3 yesterday with the Stage 1 Aggressive map and aFe DCI. Only went out driving for a bit but the gains were VERY noticeable, also the turbo spool is significantly louder, sounds great. Tonight will be the Cobb fmic, er charge pipe, and Tial bov.

Things will only get better as you continue to add bolt-ons and supporting mods. E85 is available in certain areas of MD and if you are fortunate enough to have a local supply then things will really start to get fun

Looking forward to it Allen! May even make my way down to you guys from Frederick for a ProTune one of these days...

However, after last nights install (mods are in sig + stage 1+ aggressive maps) I have a strange whining noise that comes on above 11psi. It almost has the same tone as a supercharger pulley. Turbo spool is the only audible noise up until that boost pressure. I do not have any fault codes present and have not been able to get a log yet due to a late install.

Hey Guys,
I have this annoying check engine light that wont go away. The car keeps triggering a P2C77. I went ahead and installed a new o2 since it was also getting a heater issue as well, and all that did was clear the heater issues. The code says something about post cat signal, anyone ever have this problem? Plugs are NGKs gapped accordingly with roughly 5k on them. I would appreciate any help!

Which o2 did you swap out? Pre-cat or post-cat? They do completely different things…Good news is, if it’s just a post-cat o2, your car should run OK. The post-cat o2 measures converter readiness, it’s the lambda o2 that you really need in functioning order.

I changed the o2 that is post cat on bank 1. The code reads something like this : Lambda probe after catalytic converter, Signal.

Trying to load maps on to a new V3 but have no clue what the letters on the map page on cobb website mean.
Looking for 2007 335i coupe maps. What are the letter code for?
IKBOS, ILAOS, ....? What do they mean?

The v3 should have all of the latest maps already loaded on it. When you connect the AP to your car for the first time it will display the name of your DME (the letter code). Hope that helps!

Cobb v3 AP

Is there a way to change the sample rate for logging on the v3 AP? I can only log 16 channels at a time, which isn't enough for the default list.

Logs

If anyone could look at these logs to help me try to diagnose a "whine" I am hearing above 11psi it would be greatly appreciated. I could not see anything really stand out, but these are also the first logs I have looked at. Yes I left DTC On which I know is not ideal but I also did not notice any throttle closures.

Just received my V2 and installed Stage 1 Aggressive 4.01 and having the same problems as OP in this thread. Car runs great without AP and always has...is it map related or do I need to start swapping plugs and coils?

Pull the codes. Plugs and ignition coils are a good place to start though.

why running v4.01 the latest is 4.02 the earlier version had some heavy boost oscillation's/throttle closer issues might install latest maps and run some logs .
