There was a Hispanic male adult thrown from a sideshow vehicle last weekend. He basically died in the video and was carried off and loaded into a car by a group of “attendees”. That body hasn’t shown up at any hospital nor a morgue, and that individual hasn’t been seen again. |

FWIW, I spent 15 years working with politicians at all levels in NY right up to the governor's office to find a solution to street racing, and media's glorification of these activities by that film franchise and shows like "Street Outlaws" really frustrates me as a former licensed motorsports safety steward instructor.....

I don't think I would buy a Challenger or Charger in Socal.

...or anywhere else for that matter!
From that live TV show, it seems that just driving one in the southeast is probable cause to pull someone over, and the odds are 50/50 that the driver won't try to run when an officer initiates the stop.....

That’s part of the reason I hated them as patrol cars when I was with the CHP. They rolled them out the last year or two of my time there.

Was your CHP pension eligible to be rolled-over or otherwise transferred to LASD, or will you be collecting them separately?

It’ll be a separate collection since the CHP and most other California agencies use CALPERS while L.A. County has its own pension fund. It’ll be interesting since I also qualify for SSI……if SSI even still exists when I retire.

Anything you get from SSI will be removed from your CalPERS entitlement.

You can’t make this stuff up.
The back story to the message I posted is it was a call for service and the male informant said somebody was trying to steal his 2023 Honda Odyssey minivan. |

Kicking in doors during a building search. Helps get the aggression out.

Looks like you used the powerful Capoeira kick on that door

I sure did! It looked as if somebody had attempted to kick in the door, but failed (…the two wet boot patterns above mine; mine is the lowest boot pattern with the different tread). We think it was somebody trying to get product out of the location after an illegal entry. Judging by the boot pattern the person was trying to front kick the door. That’s why they failed. The most effective way is to utilize a donkey kick. |
