Has anyone or is anyone planning on running 100% E85? Or is that even possible yet with just a fuel pump upgrade. And would there be any benifit to that much E85 unlike the stock turbo?

From what I understand our high pressure fuel pump can't keep up with straight E85 yet. There isn't an upgrade for it yet either. We're limited to supposedly around 65% with a low pressure fuel pump upgrade but I don't think any N55 guy has confirmed this either. 65% is the max on an N54 so I assume it will be roughly the same. Until Terry gets us some working HPFP and LPFP readings on the JB4 we won't be able to tell really. All we can look at is the AFR which I don't trust is as good of an indicator of whether our engine is about to pop.

I know someone who has run up to 70-75ish % with no issues but I still don't see the need for it. I just keep it around 50% to be safe.

I'm going to find out if it's possible today, my car is getting tuned on the dyno right now.
I have the Vargas Stage 2 DBB turbo though.

I stopped by their shop today and have nothing but great things to say! Very friendly/knowledgable staff, very clean looking shop (WITH TONS OF TURBOS) and know how to treat customers! I'm looking forward to doing business with pure in the future. Nice work PURE making affordable things happen for the N55 community

Pure Turbos, Do you think it makes sense to start up a new thread just for the group buy to get more attention? There a lot of people that might now see it since it's buried in this thread.

Why wouldn't they, the whole point was to get people to sign up for it. Why is there always someone trying to stir **** up.

I don't think he meant it that way. He was just making a suggestion.

Yeah definitely not trying to stir anything up. I didn't realize there was another thread already. You totally misunderstood what I was trying to suggest.

Just called and paid for the turbo. Please PM me the install guide. Going to have a local garage that I trust do the work.

Beautiful E9 pure! I've been toying with building a turbo E9 with a B34. I'm very familiar with turbo M30's. Here is the engine bay of my E28.
