Last Fridays meet at the K Mart was pretty good there was a big turn out, but as always some ass clown draws negative attention. Hopefully we have a good crowd this week and try to control these lil kids acting fools. The weather looks good for the track on Sunday also

Hey NC folks, performance bmw CH is charging $350 for a 335d oil change and DEF flush.
Any mechanics with 335d experience that charge for labor... I will supply parts and oil. In durham area. I am not rich enough for $350 oil change.

Stealership...the only time I use them is for warranty work, and even then, I'm hesitant. As for the oil change, not sure if yours is set up any different, but it's pretty easy. Oil plug is tucked away nicely behind a trap door underneath, oil filter on top of motor. As for the flush, got me on that one.

So I hear! Not sure if you read the other post, but did you take it to Bull City to get the exhaust work done? I was up there the other day inquiring about mine and they said they had recently done some work on an SL55 AMG.

Congrats on the feature and new car.....still sucks that you sold the Bimmer.
Oh, and I (we) did come by last month - me, Eddie and Tomas (w/a GTR). You weren't working that day. Won't be tomorrow, but we'll try to do another drive by soon. Are you too low yet to make it up my driveway?!

New owner here in Cary, NC. Picked up my 2010 335i 6spd last Friday in Richmond, VA.

Really enjoying the car so far. Already installed jb4, BMS DCI, and BMS LED angel eyes. In the near future I'd like to do a gutted CDV, carbon fiber interior wrap, and bms clutch stop.

Does anyone have good experiences with Leith or Performance BMW for regular maintenance with mods? Do you think I can leave my jb4 installed but just switch it to bypass mode if they are just doing an oil change?

I'm looking to get a couple of mods done to my 325xi. Highly interested in completing a three stage intake manifold conversion. The only problem is I'm not a highly skilled wrench and I don't have a garage at the moment. I would like to ask the guys at shade tree, but they're swamped during this time of the year it seems.

Welcome! That's a nice looking car you have there!

I'm based in Apex and regularly take my car to Performance BMW in Chapel-Hill. It's a bit of a hike, but well worth it - they are awesome! They treat my car as though it is their own and are totally trustworthy! So far they're one of the best dealers I've ever interacted with. To give you an idea of their integrity, last year I had new rear tires installed. They left minor machine marks on the wheels (they were previously spotless). Not only did they admit to the mistake, but they replaced the wheel with a new one - now that's customer service and well worth the drive!

Drooling over the 6 speed. I take my 335d to performance bmw also. Had specific issues to diesel routine maintenance but overall they have great service.

For the DEF flush you'll need a special vacuum pump to suck all the old fluid out. oil change, same as any other car just different oil. maybe you should get a quote on only the flush and the oil change you can easily do yourself.
