Guessing Covid and the BAT have been good to 1600Veloce, he seeming moved on from E91's but he's now moved on to E30 M3's this is the second one I have seen him selling in the past couple of months.

Wow. He got his hands on a 23K mile E30 M3 - he's doing some kind of homework.

Sport seats and M wheels as well as M Sport steering wheel etc. Car is amazing to drive and very rare. Serious inquiries only. 77k miles from new. Service history and window sticker.

Hmm. A buddy of mine just picked up a 2012 x drive E91, 6MT, ~79k miles, just without the m sport package for $11.5k. Does m sport package really warrant the premium?

Prices have leveled out from covid times but they still fetch a decent number.

Well, M-Sport includes steering wheel, Sport seats, and sport suspension (to me, the three key items), and a few cosmetic things (bumpers, different color headliner?). Those can all be added/upgraded , and the suspension will have to be done at some point when the OEM sport suspension wears out. Not too hard to do, and for much less than the premium for this one. On the other hand, this one would be turn-key and sounds to have other desirables (no rust, service records, low-but-not-ridiculously-low miles).

Agree that the turn-key nature of this one contributes to the high-ish asking price, as does the no rust, service record and pretty low miles.

M Sport does add a premium, but what this is depends on the buyer.

A few points that I've gathered that differ are: xDrive does not have sport suspension, just the sport wheels. And that the headliner is actually the most difficult to source, is very expensive and intensive to swap.

I’m going to do “mostly” and m sport conversion when I do my N54 swap. It’s VERY expensive to get everything you need to do the full conversion. A lot of the headliner and rear hatch parts are specific to the e91 M sport package. It’s quite expensive to even have the headliner recovered as the material is very pricey. The rear bumper is also unique to the e91s. A true m sport car is definitely worth the premium if you value it.

Why didn’t I just buy an m sport car? I wanted crimson red haha

I emphasized the suspension, seats, and steering wheel as those are what I consider the components worthwhile enough to upgrade. Bumpers? Meh, if you have to replace the original due to damage, then okay, but not just to do it. Headliner? I could not care less about that - 99.9% of the time I never notice it so I'm not going to any expense/effort on that just because. I'm focused on enhancing the driving experience - the suspension, the seats, 3-stage intake, OEM+ wheels (Style 66s). I've kept an eye out for a Sport/M-Sport steering wheel but, while the steering wheel prices are not bad, I always balk at the cost of the airbag/cover. Of course, then there was the recall in case you had upgraded from the base steering wheel. Also, my base wheel is heated and I kind of like that so that is another speed bump.

My E91 is an x-Drive and is a daily driver and I love it for that purpose and for certain road trips (it is a Touring, after all) but I'd rather save my modification money for the 128 or my C5 Corvette. And, I agree with Coral Red that I'd choose red exterior over M-Sport. (Oddly, though, my E91 is the only non-red car of the five we own).

Hi all. Been on the Z forum for ages, first post here. Been hunting for an E91 over the last few months, just found this thread. Cool that it's been kept active and current for so long.

I'm talking to the owner of this car currently. I like the spec, but I think he's high on price. Where do you all think it should be? Based on what I see from Hagerty, what they have done on BaT over the last year and at cars&bids, I think he could be way high and difficult to negotiate with due to the difference. But, as has been said here, these are tricky to nail down on price. Would love to hear some opinions.

The I posted in Maine has significantly less miles and is little more in money. It's manual and an X drive. Don't know owner.

Yeah, it's a good one for a comp.

Really pretty car, but not $18,000 worth of pretty. I'm gonna' say $5k too high. Maybe more if there is a lot of work to do on it (suspension, battery, VC, OPG, etc. etc, etc).

Agree....for that price you would expect a California/no underbody rust car with all the preventative maintenance up to date......maybe RWD as well.

It is a really good looking car though... that combo is hmmm, hmmm good!

But even with that third pedal, without having a single owner enthusiast level maintenance log, $18k is a bold ask.

Thanks, appreciate the number. I doubt it needs work - this guy is a BMW nut if his garage says anything - E30 M3, Z3M, E9x M3, E46 M3 vert, some other 3 series sedan and he's selling this because he found an E91 RWD manual car. He says it's in great shape, I don't have reason to doubt it yet. Waiting on photos of the underside.

But $5k high - yeesh. That seems like a low-ball offer. I usually don't do that, probably because I don't get that far into negotiating with way over priced vehicles as a general habit.
