well you lose that money so lets say you lease a car and pay 1000, and at the end of the lease its like 30k, wouldnt of it been easier to just buy it instead of leasing?

Well, you have to figure out the residual at the end of the lease to get a better idea. Also, sometimes the residual is X amount but you can talk with BMW and get this even lower. You don't really lose money per se, you are still lowering the amount owed in the end. You have to also take into account the finance rate of a used car vs the lease rate. Find out what his monthly payments are, terms, money factor, etc. It is not as big of a hassel as it sounds. Let me know if you want some help with this when you get the numbers. Just a thought that is worth looking into if it is the car you want
