Old desktop was struggling with VR stuff.... splurged and got this, what a difference! Butter smooth so far with everything i've thrown at it, love it, plus it has a 4k screen that is color accurate for work, which is a huge bonus . |

Can't post a pic of it, because the Q-code is readable but I can tell you: Its one of wifeys round birthdays today, 10 years ago she got a coupon for driving a BMT Tank around the woods which was much fun.
To increase this, she got now a coupon for the legendary Green Hell onto Nordschleife with one lap and a M135 stage 2 tuned included. Petrolheads...

I'm genuinely curious as to what you were using and doing to cause that kind of damage? Were you using a rotary polishes with a wool pad and some very aggressive polish?

You got it. It was on one of my work trucks that someone had drove against a branch or something causing a light scratch down the entire side of the truck. Used light cutting compound with a wool pad and after doing the panels affected I decided to do the whole truck. At least the paint was smooth as silk and scratch free when done It only looks bad in bright sun. It isn't even swirl marks it's like ingrained product.

Supposed to be the best for preventing excess hulls between your teeth. But I also struggle with digesting the regular hulls that irritate my stomach.
We'll see when I pop a few bags this Friday for the premier of Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE!

^Speaking of watches. I ordered a new "daily" watch that I wouldn't mind beating up a bit. Believe it or not, this will be my first automatic watch. I have a Citizen eco drive, Apple Watch 3, and a Tag Heuer Formula 1 Gulf Racing.

I needed to replace this Radiant bulb for an antique slide projector. After searching all the possible shops in the city I turned to the inter-web.
I managed to find a place in North Carolina that had something from Sylvania that matched. The replacement bulb was $10. Shipping was $42 I ordered two bulbs because it didn't increase the shipping and it's always good to have a spare. Now what I didn't expect was what arrived today. There was no mention anywhere on the website that I was buying NOS bulbs. These bulbs must be at least 60 years old! I mean look at the address on the single box. Is that a two digit zip code for NYC? Was there ever two digit zip codes? Well yes... yes there was. 1943 was the first use by the USPS of two digit codes to help sort the roughly 20 million pieces of mail per year. The current format of the Zone Improvement Code (zip) didn't start until 1963. Do the math, these two bulbs could be as much as 78 years old! I hope they work.

When I saw the photos at first, I thought they were vacuum tubes used in old radios or nowadays high end audio gear. The reason I imagined that is because my dad is like a mad scientist in his workshop building all kinds of gear as a hobby, but also does a side gig restoring antique radios, electronics and external cabinetry and all. Those old looking boxes you showed look just like many of the tubes my dad has. Some of them are extremely valuable because they aren't made anymore. Well actually I had learned Russia of all places are making vacuum tubes for some high end audio companies. I think I remembered seeing them used in brands like McIntosh. Anyway, he's got piles and piles of tubes and boxes that look just like the Sylvania ones you have. Sometimes you can get lucky and find people that have no clue what value tubes have and sell them off cheaply at swap meets or garage sales. My dad occasionally swoops in and finds gold mines. Lol. He now has customers all around the world requesting work to be done on their gear. Not a bad gig for an old man long retired and making a decent amount of bank which is essentially a hobby. He's not a salesman by any stretch and I keep telling him he needs to charge a lot more money than he currently does. He just brushes me off though and said he's okay with what he asks from people. It's no wonder he has a large clientele. |

I picked up a Yamaha branded one from CostCo a couple of years ago. I dont use it a ton but it's worked okay for me. Gas powered but I kinda like it over the old electric Husky one that I had. I always have gas on-hand for lawn equipment and snow blower so it's not a big deal if I run out of gas.
