x3 troubles - Software Update question
Hello!
NEW to BMW, new to 2013 X3 2.8i xDrive, and new to this forum. I have the dreaded "DriveTrain Malfuntion" error and have cleared as many error codes as possible using the ODBC and BimmerLink. On the BMW website https://www.bmwusa.com/owners/software-updates.html and the MyBMW App, both show that there are no software updates for the 2013 X3. They also indicate how important it is to KEEP THE SOFTWARE UPDATED. These two things don't go together. So... CAN the software in a 2013 X3 be updated? If so, how? Must it be done by the stealership? Thanks in advance for the help. Caz cazman@yahoo.com |

I couldn't find anything recent, so I just bought it from https://ncs-expert.com/. The website is annoying, but I was able to INPA working on windows10. Still trying to get NCSExpert working, though, getting dreaded faulty VIN message.
