can anyone recommend a place to get tints that could also "wrap" some of the silver bits on the car so it appears to be all blacked out?

Where would you get your BMW serviced if not at Otto's or Elite?

I've heard great things about Young's off of Preston. I have a few minor details I would like to get looked at.

This was my first post in the Ottawa section!

I have heard good things about Yonge Street Garage as well (assuming we are talking about the same shop), however, in my research I found that their pricing didnt beat Otto's price (and service). For example, if you get a quote to get your brakes (rotors + pads) done the price was about $200 more than Otto's pricing. Same with the clutch job. Having said that for random troubleshooting they might have better rate (when going by the hour) but not for the routine service items i listed above. Only issue I can see is where indepth troubleshooting requires hooking up diagnostics machine, which I believe Otto's has covered on all other indies at this point in time in Ottawa.

One thing for sure, I would not recommend going to DUSS Bros. That outfit has gone down hill for past 3 years of my experiences there. You can search here to find my (few) issues with them.

Not that I know of currently but I would definitely be interested in attending some Ottawa BMW meets!

I just had my intake valves cleaned with the walnut blasting method... MAN! What a difference does it ever make!!!

My car feels significantly smoother. I had this done at 105,000kms. When the guy showed me how dirty intake valves were, I was blown away. I couldn't believe the difference after it was cleaned.

Also, my throttle body was cleaned and spark plugs were changed.

Definitely recommend anyone with over 60,000kms on their car to have their intake valves cleaned.

On the other hand, I'm looking to purchase the BMW Performance Exhaust on the 335i. I was thinking if we had enough interest, we could start a group buy through BMW to get a heavier discount. Anyone interested?

Georges at RPM Motorsport. Near Island/Park and Richmond Street area.
Knows BMWs like the back of his hand and has good prices. Been working on my cars. All the people I've sent to him are satisfied.

anyone here a part of the bmw club in Ottawa. I think they have a meet once a month. there is one tonight I believe, I am going to try and go. not sure what type of group it is as I have never been but I would really like to meet some others who enjoy these cars.
