That sucks! I guess they gotta do something to make themselves feel a little power now and then.

yeah...I did. Supposed to be snow on the ground the next 3 mornings. It's snowing right now! I had to take my front wheels off to remove my halos, so I figured I might as well be safe.

We came through the pass on highway 6 this afternoon...snowing like crazy and upper 20s. My wife nearly strangled me for taking the BMW and keeping the summer tires on.

Oh, and hit limp mode like 10 times yesterday and today. Always happened while going up-hill, cruise control on, about 80 mph. The boost gauge would show 0.5-1 psi for about 5-10 seconds, then limp. If I kept it off cruise, and coasted below boost, and then more gas and got it up to 4-5 psi, it didn't limp. Weird. Got really good at shutting it down at 80 and restarting.

PS - there is no power at all in limp mode...at least not climbing through the mountains.

and another thing...tought it might have been bad gas (filled up with texaco premium before we left). But we filled with chevron premium (my normal) for the trip home, and it still was happening.

That sucks man I hope it's not the Fuel Pump. I will say that almost all the symptoms that I thought were due to a failing HPFP have vanished with the new set of plugs... all but one. I still get a random stutter at stop lights, the RPM's never drop, but for a millisecond it sounds like the car is going to die.

I don't know if I should get it in for service? (fuel pump?) or if it was the procede? Can't believe it's the plugs after 2000 miles of tune. It never had a problem up until now. Thoughts?

That's a lot of limping man. Does anyone have a scan tool around here that you could look at codes? I'm planning on picking one up, just haven't got around to it yet.

On another note, someone over the weekend decided that I no longer needed the 'i' from 335i on the rear of my car. Fortunately they didn't do any damage, so I took it a few steps further and now I'm debadged.

As for the snow...

WRX is all fixed.

Oil had clumps in it, the fuel pump was horrible, and fuel filter was horrible.
So Over the weekend it got:

Oil change
filter change
STi fuel pump
Fuel filter
fuel cleaner
boost leak tests
compression tests
Re-tune

Running 17psi and running strong.
thank goodness.

Now that the WRX is fixed...time for some new rubber for the 135?

Funny guy.

When my car hits limp...it will drive more like your 135.

Turn the car off, turn it back on. That's it. It still runs fine...just no boost.
