Thanks Chappers, I liked the original look too... should have left it that way in hindsight lel

Well septembers been & gone without having to spend any money on parts or repairs
The limp mode that I had back in July hasn't returned & the cars running very nicely, am pleased I didn't go with bmw arden maidstone diagnosis of possible faulty injectors
The old girl has almost done 100k now still original turbos, injectors & battery
Mot next Saturday am hopeful that all will be good.

£325 this month with a possible repair of £500ish in the near future if I do decide to have the job done

It seems things are fine for a few months or so & then there'll be an issue of some kind, fortunately I've resisted buying bits or having stuff done to make it quicker this time, as I was thinking the cars been good for the last few months I'm going to get that charge pipe & bovs.

I only use the damn thing on a weekend & then I generally only do a 100 miles or so & that's usually just going for a scud about, it does put a big grin on my face though & it makes such a naughty noise

£650 on tyres last month nothing else

This month, £750 on insurance, and so far £40 on front pads, £150 on discs (though may not be necessary, will find out when I take it to the indy)

Preparing for wheel alignment to be done again as ATS said bolts were seized so couldn't do it. Indy will charge £100 for that and I assume if I need new parts which will probably set me back another £150

Have asked for a vehicle inspection while hes got it so I don't have to keep going back n do some preventative maintenance so another £50 or so for that plus whatever it comes up with

Oh and of course £60 or so labour for doing the brakes.

*sigh*

lol, it just goes on & on.
Hope you've got a nice amount of disposable income for that M3

My old m5 cost me about 2 1/2 times the amount of money my 525i did, i still loved it though. There's nothing quite like an Mcar

Nice inexpensive month then.

I also had to replace my headlamp regulator rod recently, £8.57 from main dealer & 20mins to fit (including tea drinking)

Oh also add another £300 for my first (and probably last) ever private plate, quite excited but definitely a luxury purchase I guess

Had a bit of work done yesterday & the oil leak is now sorted, turned out to be oil stat gasket so I had that replaced along with the two oil feed line o rings. Serpentine belt was also replaced as far as I know it's never been done also new Varta battery fitted & coded. Cost was a very reasonable £350
Car was long overdue a new battery as it was still on the original.
The welcome lights now work, the car is running smoother as it had developed a kind of stutter on tick over & the battery voltage would drop at the same time, this has now gone & my alternator no longer has to work as hard
If anyone's looking for a good indie in the medway Maidstone area I would recommend H&C motors Maidstone. Turns out one of the guys that owns it, Gary used to work at the main dealer I used to take my e34 M5 to & he was the only guy I would let work on it, that was getting on for 20 years ago so he has been fixing BMs for a while

Quite a few quid as I bought the 335i. £38 per month for warranty. £45 for the MOT on the 330d. Sort of wish someone would just buy the 330d as it's making me sad looking at it every day!!

Dann if your battery's quite old I'd recommend fitting & coding a new one, I kept putting off replacing mine as the car always started fine, allthough a few quirky things have happened over the last few months but now the new battery's fitted it's running sweet. Hope yours gets through its mot ok
