How much was the very first complete turn-key package when it was still just a few months old and only offered by one company?

Like someone said earlier.. You already have a 335.. So go for a 135.. Lighter, cheaper, faster! If it's a second car and you want ALL OUT! Man, a single turbo 135 would be a monster....

The EVO was able to leverage off a decade of DSM work and vendors when it came to the USA and was never in that situation. The DSMs were also never in that situation because there were always bigger turbos that could be bolted onto the stock manifold from the time people started to mod them. Any aftermarket solutions that were complete packages had to compete with that so they never got that expensive. Plus the electronics were always separate from the hardware, you never had to buy a package that included both. HKS had the closest thing to what you're describing where you would buy their electronics and hardware package and adjusted for inflation it was in the same price league as what you're talking about. But they didn't sell many because you could go just as fast using stuff from other vendors.
