That's my philosophy. The startup is so sexy, revving at a red light is so damn fun too!

FYI if you have drone issues with the AA exhaust, I plugged the other 2 exhaust mounts with synthetic wine corks like I did to the other one and wow basically all the drone is gone now. Driving at 2k rpms on the highway is annoying some times but now the 2k rpm range is smooooooth and drone free. (maybe 10% of quiet drone left)

Tried this. The hangers are shaped like diamonds, but I tried stuffing 1 cork in each hanger to no avail. Drone still present and annoying, my AA is coming off for a used PE.

12,000 miles later with the AA exhaust

Sorry. The video was meant to be longer...Camera battery shutoff and I didnt feel like doing this tomorrow.

This thing got so much sweeter sounding, especially upper RPMs!

Installed last february so roughly 12,000 miles later. Hope you like it.

High quality recording of 325i MT Muffler delete

I didnt see any high quality footage of this so I decided to do it on a hunch. Very pleased with the sound and noise levels. No highway drone when at 2600-3200 rpm (65-85mph)
The only droney part of the rev range is about 2100-2350rpm That is where the most "drone" occurs. Im not bothered by it because Im usually below 2000rpm or far above it. I had this performed at a local exhaust shop, they welded a flange in place so the muffler could be swapped in a matter of minutes with basic tools, and it uses the stock muffler hanger. Cost was about $120 after tax.

My Active Autowerke on my E90 330i before I swapped it for a PE muffler and had a shop delete the resonator. Loved the sound, but that infernal drone from 2k-2.4k was too annoying. And everyone that rode in my car knew it...

i'll make a vid with the PE later. It's too quiet for me, so I may remove the secondary cats in the future.

Z4 3.0si (same motor as e90 330i). I've gone through few different configurations but here's some videos of my initial setup: Supersprint headers + Burns Y-merge + 3" piping with Vibrant resonator & Flowmaster muffler:

Cold start-up

On-track

Since then, I've added a 100 cell hfc and swapped out the Flowmaster for a Magnaflow. The car sounds less raspy with deeper tones. I'll try to upload a video next week.

Anyone do a dual exit exhaust but installed 1 muffler (aftermarket) Kinda curious how that would sound. Im assuming the muffler could cause some crackling and popping. Im kinda looking for a nice tone with that. So far im liking the muffler delete but at the same time i know a muffler could provide a deeper tone possibly. (sort of)

Any one looked into getting a electronic cut out? been looking at those as well, you can pick one from ebay for like 120 bucks and have someone weld that in.

Do you guys have any suggestions for my future endeavors?

I am planning to implement an actual x-pipe setup in my e90 330i, I share in the lament of that horrid rasp from 2-3k rpms with my AA headers.
(I am also sure the headers allowed me to cook my secondary cat lol...)

But I would like to get it to be a deeper/throaty tone.

I have my mufflers ready to go, just waiting on my diffuser to get here along with my mtech bumper and shallow trunk tray...

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated!!!

GTRZilla Damn, that sounds really really good. Do you have headers or anything else besides that exhaust done?

Here are a couple clips of mine, these are already posted in my build thread, but I guess I should put them here too.
