Active Autowerke - Turns the code off (via tuning)
Evolve Tuning - Lowers the sensitivity to not throw a code (via tuning)
BMS Downpipe Fix for N54 - Require configuration but a few have got it to work

There are mechanical means as well that others have used. Not much info on that. With the vishnu flashing tablet they are about to release you will also be able to tune and remove the codes via that tool.

A simple ECU reflash will get you up to the European Spec 325i performance range.

323i CA 2007+ 2.5 L I6 200 bhp (149 kW; 203 PS) 180 lb·ft (244 N·m)
325i EUR 2005–2007 2.5 L I6 218 PS (160 kW; 215 bhp) 250 N·m (184 lb·ft)

I spoke with a tuning company, and they said that on the Euro 325i they were able to produce figures around 233hp and 206 lb/ft.

On top of that, primary cat removal and retaining the OEM exhaust shows a 15whp gain on top of everything, which is not bad for a engine which is a high-reving 2.5L straight-6.

Im glad to see your post cuz i almost did my conversion, mine is canadian 09 323i so they are 3 stage intake manfold right?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread... If you get the EU spec ECU Flash, do you need to run 94(93) octane fuel?

Is there someone in the GTA who can do this?

are there any types of cold air intake that could boost hp on my 2009 323i or is it a waste of time getting one?

Intake upgrade on the N52 is good because the induction noise has so much win!

I have the BMW performance intake on my 325i. My passengers often compliment how good it sounds.

Hi guys!
I'm interested in the Stage 3 upgrade... I contacted via mail ActiveAutowerke with below message:

"I bought the car from another person I dunno if they had upgraded parts / software (doubt it). Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe I have stage 3 intake as it has 2 pipes below and not just 1 as I've seen online.
I tried looking for the part number but wasn't able to find it (I'm attaching a picture of the intake for your reference and the only tag I found on the part)"

After more research I found out that my car has the N52B25 engine (2.5 litre European version) not the N52B30 (3.0 litre US version)

And they replied: " the 3 stage manifold may not work good on the 2.5L engine, it may lose low end and mid range power...best to probably use the original intake manifold and maximize the tune.. That is my advise on this.
Since we dont have this 2.5L engine here we never been able to test the bigger intake manifold.......if you already have the bigger manifold installed and can switch back and forth I could send you 2 files to try
"

I'm attaching my manifold pic... perhaps someone here can clear this up for me (if I have stage 1 or 3? and if its possible to install the stage 3 in the 2.5 engine)

all the EU tunes I have looked at actually have the same ignition maps. In fact it appears as if all N52s use the same basic ignition values with only small changes to the part throttle curves.

There is a difference between the 3 stage manifolds in the n52b25 and the n52b30. The ports are larger on the 3 litre. Other than that there is no difference that I am aware of.

As someone that has 2 euro spec 330i's and 1 euro spec 325i I can confirm that the 325i euro spec which is equipped with the N52B25 OL 218hp (2.5 Liter) does come with 3 stage manifold (2 DISAs) as mentioned, just like the N52B30 OL 258 hp (3 Liter). I just want to mention, I'm not familiar with the 323i and its manifold, I've heard they have 1 DISA, the big one, but I don't know for sure, if you see 2, then you have 2. So the difference is in the ports as mentioned and the N52B30 OL manifold has 5mm bigger ports therefore bigger ?pipes?, not sure if there's specific name for those, but I will attach image below and if you take a close look, it is noticeable.

On the left is the N52B30 OL manifold, on the right it's the N52B25 OL manifold.
