Is easy if you friend has access and know how to do some machining on a lathe.b Talk to him first. I can offer this for all willing to ship the rear calipers and finish the rest themselves. Or for local guys. Either way lead time will be around 10 days. But gain, if Wladi knows of better way, which I highly doubt, you can go that route instead.

Thanks for posting pictures. Some people don't want to imagine the needed mod.
It's very admirable that you modified the rear knuckle mounting holes

Jokes aside, that is how I did it an it works. My car has seen many track days and even more hard braking. Yes, there are another options that doesn't require milling down the caliper and I knew how to do it I just decided not to since for me only involved more work and money.

Don't even bother with that. Same size with the one you already have on the e90

I have posted the full manual.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...1#post17806391 Feuer - if You think this is a worse way than Yours (which I can read from your posts and the way you write about "the other way") thats ok - I respect that. Maybe its "better". The other wah is: - Less aggressive - Safer - Reversible (for the calipers for sure ). The only thing is that this way probably takes a bit more time. I think its worth it but it is anybodys choice. Regards. Last edited by Wlodi; 04-26-2015 at 06:07 AM.. |

Originally I wanted to run a spacer between the hub and the rotor. I decided not to go this route because of few main reasons: 1. cheaper since doesn't involve new parts and more intensive labor. 2. I can easily go back to stock brakes 3. I can sell faster the modded f30 calipers to a e90 owner. 4. If I changed the nub I needed to buy new wheels since I have 18x10 et25 in the rear. But regardless! Thank you for the instruction guide! |

Good.
Feuer - Im not quite following what do you write about regarding lci or pre-lci e90 in terms of the rear caliper mounting. Whats the difference? Another thing - did U try any low dust pads on the calipers? |

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=798358 No, I have not tried any other brake pads. The M Performance pads are less dusty compared to M Sport pads. Here are the differences: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/t-br...fferences.aspx My pads are really worn and I will be ordering Cool Carbon in couple of weeks and will report. I will order from here: http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-F30-328.../Braking/Pads/ |

Update! I installed Cool Carbon last week. They cost the same $$$ as OEM. No dust. Initial bite is less but is more linear. I like them. Like them better than OEM. They are quieter too.

Hi
I do this upgrade yesterday to my 335iA (pre facelift). I use 135i hubs. Here what I do. I mill down 2 mm (two places), you can see thouse here: Afrerward I realize that it should be 3 mm. Here is difference after milling down: After 2 mm milling down, I still have to use 1 mm spacer when istalling the caliber... Some more pics If you change hubs you need to replace bearings also after There it is We have to use 1 mm spacer to adjust the caliber in right position. Important! Whit this modification I have to use 3 to 5 mm spacer or the spoke of the rim will damage the calibers. Front and I have now 19" Performance wheels, as you can see 18" wheels is impossible. seeing what Tommix had to do doesn't make me regret milling the caliper one single bit.
A lot of aftermarket 18" and few OEM 18" clear the calipers. |

I think with my wheels I'll have rubbing issues if I extend the wheel toward the fender. I'm going to look around a bit then buy. I've seen some for sale in orange (never), yellow or red. Looks like the blue was a factory install option for Canada.

So let's define LCI vs non LCI rear setting. This will dictate what everyone does.
As far as I understand. The rear Caliper and rotor for 335 and the respective 328 parts is the same between Lci and nonLci. The part number are the same across models LCI vs NonLci The difference in track is actually the Knucle holding the caliper and rotor and bearing. It is 5mm each Side wider and causes a headache for LCI owner with low offset wheels. But this allows to use PRE LCI rotor and brake caliper because they are centered correctly on the new Knucle. Why does BMW do this? Even 1 series LCI has this crappy Knucle change that takes away 3-5mm on the horrible 1 series rear fitment( for those that don't know 1 series hubs are 10 mm longer than equivalent 335 or 328i ) If I am wrong correct me
