edit: I just saw pics of your car and saw that the plates were drilled onto the bumper. Well so was mine. What I ended up doing was buying those plastic screws (flat headed ones used for interior), these ones:

and used my touch up paint and painted and clear coated it. Thank goodness there were only 2 holes. I don't really notice it from afar. I don't know if you want to go that route but just an fyi.

i org bought the car in chicago and the cops there don't mess around, you will get crazy tickets daily for not doing it so the dealer just does most the time w/o asking which sucks.

In case anybody wants to join, this Sunday we are going on a 280 mile, 6,5h cruise starting in Huntington Beach at Service Shop SMS European at 9am (so be there at 8.)

The cruise will go up the 101 to Angeles Crest, all the way east to Big Bear Lake and back to H.B. again. There are multiple entry points where you can join us and exit points where you can leave.

At the shop you will be able to check your tire pressure, oil, whatever you need, chat up and go for an awesome ride which probably is going to take around 9 hours including a couple of stops.

Cars so far are: '08 Alpina B7, 2x E60 M5, E39 M5, E36 M3, E60 525i, Hyundai Genesis 2.0T, 335i and one other forum member.

If you wanna tag along, PM me and I will send you the route as PDF

Had a quick question for those that own the PE exhaust. I'm looking to buy it but it's just the muffler. Will I get the same sound without the pipe? Thanks all.

After searching, it either makes no difference according to one thread. You still get the gun shots and burbles. Or you can get a resonator delete and a Y pipe. That should get you the equivalent product. I think the latter makes more sense.

Also got a quote for resonator delete, Y pipe, and muffler for $110. Anyone know a better deal for this? Called about 5 shops so far for quotes.
