that interior and colour combination is definately not for me

I really like Arctic! I think it looks great.

One thing that strikes me about it though is that it might not be very visible to oncoming traffic since it is very similar to the sky's color. I would consider driving with lights on on 2 lane highways. (I know this is a stupid observation).

Here it is, with poplar. Taken by the side of Moosehead Lake, Maine, USA at different times of day. Don't look too closely, there is dust!

Welcome back John. Beautiful photos! What lens did you use?

I love how Arctic looks completely gray under overcast skies. Hope you had a good trip.

Thanks for the kind words.

The way the color changes is the main reason I had for choosing Arktis.

The interior shot and the dawn light photo were taken with a Canon S500 (a little pocket camera) but I over-rode the exposure it chose. The other three were taken with a Canon 10D (SLR digital) with a 24-85 mm f3.5/4.5, the originals in RAW, these are from the embedded JPEGs.

All are based on automatic white balance.

I really like this color too! Although I have to admit that I like the silver / grayish looks of this color more than the greenish one... from your experience, what is the predominant appearance?

Most commonly, it has the look in the first photo - the one that shows the beige seats and poplar wood. I've never looked at it and thought "green". Sometimes, it takes on a blue-ish look, but mostly it's that steely gray look. We REALLY like it.

Would anyone be nice enough to photoshop the Carbon Fibre Splitters onto one of these photos? I don't have photoshop and besides, I'm not a very skilled artist when it comes to photo manipulation. Also, which interior besides black would look good with Arctic? Any open door pics would be cool.

Nevermind the open door pics, I found them. Had to look a little harder that's all. But I would still appreciate a photoshopped pic of Arctic w/ the CF splitters. Thanks.

johnfkitchen: Great photos! Thanks much for sharing - these are among the best and most lifelike I've seen. I have the E90 in Alpine White, but we have one on order for my wife: E91 in Arctic/beige. I might try to get some shots of the wagon when we get it (used to be a semi-pro photographer), but I don't know if I can match your location!

Love the interior of the lemon, but it will be tough to keep it clean. BTW, love to trade places with you all who lived out in the peaceful country side. just hates city life.

A great car. Much better than I thought it would be. And the iPod mini works wonderfully.
