I have been watching M2 CS pricing for last 6months. They are actually trending down. A clean example just sold for $88k at a midwest BMW dealer. Wasn't too long ago everyone on autotrader was above $100k.

Someone is like... "my build is $76k, that sure is a lot for entry level M car". No sh*t you added about every new option. What did people want to have...a limited option list like the F87? You think BMW was going to add all these options for free? They already made moonroof and adaptive suspension standard. |

What do you dislike about the adaptive suspension? As someone who lives near rough roads it seems like a godsend.

I can get a low mile certified pre-owned Porsche GTS or a lightly spec 911 Carrera for 80k. Crazy. Yeah, to force people to buy the Carbon Package to spec Carbon Seats is bullshit. Instead of spending $4500, I need to fork over twice for a package that includes a class and limiter increase not worth $2,500; at least not for me.

So it's safe to say with some M Performance bits, youre encroaching the six figure threshold on a base G87. This car is really moving upmarket. I wonder what the Comp will cost? Without driving it, I can't say that the delta between a F87C and a G87 really warrants the extra cost.

Love this ride, potential to be an amazing looking car with some mods, but paying over 80k after taxes and financing costs is well beyond the realm of affordable when you consider most will also want some M Performance parts, to customize their car. A little deflating truthfully.

When inflation eases down, that means price increases will slow down. It does not mean that prices will go down. (That would be deflation, and is usually a harbinger of an economic meltdown.)

BMW bundled the seats instead of offering them separately, forcing buyers to pick all or nothing. If you don't mind then pony up. If you were talking about the CS or even the Competition model maybe, but $80k for a base M2? No sir.

I was recruited during COVID to work on chips for a different company and my base went up by 25% and total compensation went up by more than that. Time for the big move.
