Honestly, I never plugged in a USB stick in the sytem. I only use the ipod up to this point, but will try a USB stick to check it out. Somethin new to learn...

I thought +2 would be how you want to turn the i-Drive knob?

@Malekreza11

At the moment I am about to order a new E9x and I am torn between sedan and coupé. Is the sound, especially the bass, really that much better in the E92 with the Logic7 system? Music in the car is very important to me and I don't want an aftermarket solution.

My buddy has the basic system in his 135i, and the bass is quite a bit less punchy than in my logic-7 system. IMO, if the same thing goes for the 3-series basic system, then the logic-7 is MUCH better than the stock setup.

mmmh, actually I meant the difference between the logic 7 system in the E92 compared to the E90. Malekreza11 wrote that there is a big difference and I wanted to know how bad it is in the E90. My dealer has no car with logic 7 there at the moment, that means I can't compare E90 vs E92

If you are asking if the Logic7 in an E92 sounds better compared to an E90 with logic7, then yes, the E92 sounds better, tighter and the bass is more accurate and full.

I was really torn between E92 and E90 but ordered the sedan (LCI) yesterday with Logic7. I think I will be happy with it... and your settings

Like others, I don't check this forum as often as I do the detailing forum. However, these settings made a big difference. Thanks for taking the time to experiment and post Malek.

Logic 7 different modes missing?

Hi, I have the E92 '09 with Logic 7 + iDrive + NAV pro, but I do not seem to have the different concert hall/music modes I read about in this thread?

Are my eyes deceiving me?

Tnx,

Y.

Unhappy

Thanks for the quick reply. I will try Malek's EQ settings with just the Logic7 tick box.

What annoys me though is that I can't select different sound settings for Radio, USB, CD/DVD, CD Changer and Harddrive. Switching from CD/DVD with good sound settings to Radio with the same settings, it looks like the Radio is producing no more bass and the highs are too much to listen to

My 2008 Mercedes C220 HK Logic 7 offered different setting per source.

Also it looks like when using the USB stick in the armrest, there is no option to transfer to Hard drive, while with the CD/DVD and CD changer it is there.

Do you think they could change this things with a sw update?

Tnx,

Y.

My '08 with L7 does not have these modes either-just music and cinema IIRC. BTW, these settings did not work at all for me.

I'll test these settings out later.

Thanks!

tried the settings on my E92 '09 and found myself going from fader +2(to the front) to -2(more to the rear), whilst this is actually not producing the sound to come from the rear. Maybe the L7 is different again on the '09 LCI models?

For the rest the settings seem to be OK for most music genres, would love to have feedback from other E92 '09 L7 owners and their preferred settings.

I have an '08 e92 and i also went with the fader more towards the rear, i vary from -1 to -3 depending on how much +/- bass i want.
