Well I have an 07 e90 and the CAN wire is not at the obd2 port from what I understand.. That is why BMS is having to make a specific CAN tool for with 07 support that plugs in at the ecu where the can wires are located... Now a good question would be could be run that wire down from the ecu like the 08's

Finally here we go!

This assumes that you are using an OBD port, to use other adapters you will have to edit ediabas.ini

LINK FOR CABLE http://www.carparts-sale.com/new-edi...face-p-34.html

all files needed are in ncsexpert.rar and DIY is a pdf as a separate file! enjoy!

I was going to turn coding into a part time job because I could really use the extra cash but I am providing all my work free of charge, if you find it helpful in any way please donate to the following link.

Yep.. I am now going to try to have to figure out his recode of the headunit from logic 7 to hifi so I can install the JBL MS8.. I am may have to end up paying someone, but would definatly like to figure it out myself as that will give me great insight into this process...

I don't even have a BMW yet and I just donated. I hope that others will donate as well and encourage you and others like you to share your intelligence and enthusiasm with the community. Thanks for your hard work!

I guess this means that the BT tool cable won't work with recoding mods?

Thanks OP!! I will be donating soon. In case anyone needs the USB to RS232 adapter, here is a cheaper alternative ... USB to RS232 Cable

The one linked to earlier in the thread was a bit pricey I thought. Thanks again OP

So this won't work with a 2007 335i Sedan?

I think it will work if you get a KCAN/DCAN cable, like the one posted above for about $110. KCAN cars are pre 03/07 build date. 3/07 and later are DCAN.

Hey OP, can you compile a list of parameters to change and what they do? I've got KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB for the windows up via remote... and the BC_DIGITAL_V for the digital speedometer... what other ones are there? Could be a sticky :-)

I think that would e a very good idea. Or like mini diy's for different things ie windows up and corner lights. Whenever someone figures one out share the wealth.

I will start the list this is everything i can remember at the moment. Don't remember the default values for all but it its aktiv change to nicht_aktiv or vise versa. I am pulling these values from my notes they may not be 100% accurate but should give you some guidance.

Disable dong when driver door open and key in slot

CC_ZUENDSCHLUESSEL
(will reset ecu including clock possibly service dates)

"corner delete mod"

sidemarker_US

Digital speed on cluster
BC_DIGITAL_V

Comfort folding mirrors
BEIKLAPPEN_B_KOMFORTSCHL

panic mode
SONDERTASTE_PANIKALARM
(must have alarm installed, hold trunk button)

rain close
regenscliessentilt
(may have been a second value also, sunroof will need to be taught all functions with INPA. only works when automatic wipers are on, it will remain close until the car is restarted" had to stop on the way to miami just to restart car

close windows and sun roof with fob holding lock button
KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB

I have a couple more laying around somewhere I just have to find the motivation to look for. if i remember correctly i can also code close convertible top with fob should be the value right under "KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB" and can code car to ignore all light errors.

also refer to the provided link in DIY post.. it's for 5 series but the most of values are the same.

There are not a lot of people out there sharing what they found, i figured out a lot of it translating pages on Google

Can someone please host these files somewhere other than RapidShare? The limit has been reached and I rather donate to xxxjecxxx than pay RapidShare! Thanks!!
